[The review of anatomical and clinical terminology concerning vocal folds].

The review of the anatomical and clinical literature of the vocal folds was presented. The attention was paid on the lack of homogenous terminology in this subject. Different authors use different terms concerning the vocal folds: vocal cords, vocal lips and vocal folds.

[Anatomical variations of vermiform appendix].

Vermiform appendix (VA) is characterized by great variability of its location and morphology. Acute inflammatory changes are the most frequent cause of surgical abdominal interventions. Inflammation of atypically located VA may imitate inflammation of other organs, which leads to diagnostic errors.
