Here, we report the complete genome sequence of strain TYRC17, a moderately halophilic, Gram-negative bacterium that was isolated from olive processing effluents. The 5-Mbp genome consists of 7,375 protein-coding sequences, including a variety of genes involved in tyrosol metabolism, nitrate respiration, and the production of polysaccharides.

The LD of this strain is 123 Jm, which is twice that of , and therefore can be a useful resource for comparative study of UV resistance and the role of manganese on this phenotype. Its complete genome is comprised of a chromosome of 3,488,433 bp and a plasmid of 154,991 bp.
