An interdigital transducer structure was fabricated from multilayer graphene on the surface of the YZ-cut of a LiNbO ferroelectric crystal. The multilayer graphene was prepared by CVD method and transferred onto the surface of the LiNbO substrate. The properties of the multilayer graphene film were studied by Raman spectroscopy.

Experiments were performed on laser wakefield acceleration in the highly nonlinear regime. With laser powers P<250 TW and using an initial spot size larger than the matched spot size for guiding, we were able to accelerate electrons to energies E_{max}>2.5 GeV, in fields exceeding 500 GV m^{-1}, with more than 80 pC of charge at energies E>1 GeV.

Plasma wakefield accelerators driven by particle beams are capable of providing accelerating gradient several orders of magnitude higher than currently used radio-frequency technology, which could reduce the length of particle accelerators, with drastic influence on the development of future colliders at TeV energies and the minimization of x-ray free-electron lasers. Since interplasma components and distances are among the biggest contributors to the total accelerator length, the design of staged plasma accelerators is one of the most important outstanding questions in order to render this technology instrumental. Here, we present a novel concept to optimize interplasma distances in a staged beam-driven plasma accelerator by drive-beam coupling in the temporal domain and gating the accelerator via a femtosecond ionization laser.

The use of the principal component method for data processing in combination with correlation analysis made it possible to reveal the contribution to the change in the spectra associated with the linear deformation of the substrate due to the inverse piezoelectric effect. An effect of the graphene coating peeling was found.

It was found that the dependence of the current in the graphene film on the frequency of the surface acoustic wave (SAW) excitation repeats the amplitude-frequency response of the SAW delay time line. It is shown that increasing the SAW amplitude leads to an increase in the current in the graphene film, and the current in the graphene film depends linearly on the amplitude of the high-frequency input signal supplied to the interdigital transducer (IDT, in dB).

The operative mechanisms that are responsible for resistive switching are being intensively investigated, and three models explaining the change in the resistive states have been developed. These models are grounded in the metallic-like filamentary conduction, contact resistance modification and the oxidation of/reduction in the graphene oxide bulk.

Purpose: This study analyzed oncological outcomes of patients with metastatic clear-cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) treated with cytoreductive partial nephrectomy or nephrectomy.
Methods: This prospective non-randomized cohort study included 109 patients with metastatic ccRCC who underwent surgical treatment between 2011 and 2020. Patients were stratified into cytoreductive partial nephrectomy or nephrectomy groups.
Laser-plasma accelerators (LPAs) produce electric fields of the order of 100 GV m, more than 1000 times larger than those produced by radio-frequency accelerators. These uniquely strong fields make LPAs a promising path to generate electron beams beyond the TeV, an important goal in high-energy physics. Yet, large electric fields are of little benefit if they are not maintained over a long distance.

In the paper presented, we introduce a novel formation process study of the struvite-based phosphate matrices ((K, NH)MgPO·6HO) and the developed phosphate matrix compositions for the solidification of high salt-bearing solutions. The solutions simulate the EB of nuclear power plants with pressurized water reactors (NPP PWR).

Here, we demonstrate that a unilateral injury of the hindlimb sensorimotor cortex of rats with completely transected thoracic spinal cord produces hindlimb postural asymmetry with contralateral flexion and asymmetric hindlimb withdrawal reflexes within 3 hr, as well as asymmetry in gene expression patterns in the lumbar spinal cord. The injury-induced postural effects were abolished by hypophysectomy and were mimicked by transfusion of serum from animals with brain injury.

One of the simplest methods along this path is the superposition of several 2 nanomaterials while simultaneously specifying the twist angle between adjacent layers (θ), which leads to the emergence of Moiré superlattices. The key challenge in 2 nanoelectronics is to obtain a nanomaterial with numerous Moiré superlattices in addition to a high carrier mobility in a stable and easy-to-fabricate material.

Materials And Methods: A special randomised trial was planned and conducted by the Research Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Oncology in the National Cancer Institute of Ukraine for testing the clinical efficacy of neoadjuvant TT in the treatment of clear-cell localised RCC, and the primary endpoint was tumour response evaluation after TT. The secondary endpoints included evaluation of dependence between the use of neoadjuvant TT and the probability of partial nephrectomy and the correlation between tumour size, stage, remaining functioning parenchyma volume, and response to systemic therapy.
Plasma wakefield accelerators are capable of sustaining gigavolt-per-centimeter accelerating fields, surpassing the electric breakdown threshold in state-of-the-art accelerator modules by 3-4 orders of magnitude. Beam-driven wakefields offer particularly attractive conditions for the generation and acceleration of high-quality beams. However, this scheme relies on kilometer-scale accelerators.

However, the photon flux and intensity of existing sources is strongly limited for photon energies above a few hundred keV. The aim of our work is to study the efficacy of the modified ureterocutaneostomy technique by estimating the quality of life in post-RC patients with MIBC.

Undulator based synchrotron light sources and Free Electron Lasers (FELs) are valuable modern probes of matter with high temporal and spatial resolution. Laser Plasma Accelerators (LPAs), delivering GeV electron beams in few centimeters, are good candidates for future compact light sources. However the barriers set by the large energy spread, divergence and shot-to-shot fluctuations require a specific transport line, to shape the electron beam phase space for achieving ultrashort undulator synchrotron radiation suitable for users and even for achieving FEL amplification.
