The purpose of study is to scientifically substantiate the methodology of applying differently directed fitness tools to increase the level of somatic health, physical and mental workability of students. The experimental sampling consisted of 186 students (106 girls, 80 boys) of the Belgorod State National Research Institute and the Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law. Two groups of respondents were organized: control group (n=85; 47 girls, 38 boys) that included students involved into officially approved education program of the Chair of Physical Culture and experiment group (n=101; 59 girls, 42 boys) that included students involved into experimental program.

The purpose of the study is to substantiate methodology of using multidirectional fitness tools to improve level of somatic health, and as a result, physical and mental efficiency of students. The study sampling included 186 students (106 girls, 80 boys). Two groups were formed: control group (n=85: 47 girls, 38 boys) and experimental group (n=101: 59 girls, 42 boys) in the content of educational program were included experimental method.

Ninety-five children with different forms of hermaphroditism aged 3 months to 14 years were examined to assess the potentialities of echography. Ultrasonic examinations of the kidneys, adrenals, pelvic organs (with full bladder, during and after miction), scrotum, and inguinal area were carried out. Echographic picture of urogenital organs in mixed ovarian dysgenesis, congenital deficiency of testosterone biosynthesis or metabolism due to enzymatic deficit, testicular feminization, congenital adrenocortical dysfunction was analyzed and criteria of differential diagnosis of these conditions discussed.

On the basis of the results of rheotesticulographic studies in 38 children with left-sided II-III degree varicocele, the impairment in hemodynamics in the testicle at the involved side was established. No suppression of androgen function of the organ was revealed. The expediency to perform in patients of pediatric and young age the Ivanissevich operation, the effectiveness of which is increased in use of intraoperative phlebotesticulography was noted.

The paper is concerned with analysis of the results of intraoperative phlebotesticulography, performed in 50 patients with varicocele of degree I-II during Ivanissevich's operation. The effect of surgical intervention was shown to depend upon the quality of ligation of the testicular vein, some parts of which are anastomosed between themselves. The localization of this anastomosis is revealed by means of intraoperative phlebotesticulography, which permits increasing the results of surgical treatment and predicting a course of a postoperative period.

Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (in a lesser degree, pyridoxal) interacts with both non-protonated and protonated exposed epsilon-amino groups of lysine residues and with alpha-amino groups in human serum albumin and pancreatic ribonuclease A. The reaction of Schiff base formation proceeds within a wide pH range--from 3.0 to 12.

The operation is aimed at embolization of all the varicose veins of the gastroesophageal zone which are the source of bleeding in portal hypertension. Under the corresponding anatomical conditions the total embolization results in the decreased portal tension due to the development of effective direct portocaval anastomoses.

The spatial structure of "long" toxin 3 Naja naja siamensis in solution has been studied by methods of two-dimensional (2D) 1H NMR spectroscopy. The individual signal assignments for 67 out of 71 residues and analysis of nuclear Overhauser effects between distinct protons of the molecule allowed the comparison of the toxin 3 conformations at different pH values and temperatures. It was shown that the deprotonated imidazole ring of His22 residue (at pH greater than or equal to 7,5) is surrounded by the side chains of Cys17, Pro18, Val23, Cys24, Cys45, Ala46 and Thr48 residues.

1H NMR spectroscopy has been used to collect data related to the spatial structure of insectotoxin I5A Buthus eupeus: pH-dependence of the chemical shifts, deuterium exchange rates of individual amide hydrogens, spin-spin coupling of the H-N-C alpha-H and H-C alpha-C beta-H protons, and nuclear Overhauser effect between distinct protons belonging to amino acid residues remote in the sequence. Molecular conformation in the regions from Asp9 to Cys19 (beta-turn 9-12 and right-hand alpha-helix 12-19) and from Asn23 to Asn34 (antiparallel beta-sheet with the beta-turn 27-30) directly follows from the observed parameters. Pseudoatomic approach of distance geometry algorithm was used to solve the overall folding of the molecule and propose the most probable set of disulfide bridges: Cys2-Cys19, Cys5-Cys31, Cys16-Cys26 and Cys20-Cys33.

The complete assignment of the 500 MHz 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum of the insectotoxin I5A isolated from Buthus eupeus scorpion venom is performed by two-dimensional spectroscopy. The analysis of nuclear Overhauser effects for the protons of neighbouring residues in the amino acid sequence established the secondary structure of the molecule: alpha-helical part from Asn11 to Gly21 and anti-parallel beta-structure from asn23 to Asn34 with the beta-turn Phe27-Gly28-Pro29-Gln30. Three X-Pro peptide bonds have trans configuration.

Binding of neurotoxin II Naja naja oxiana derivatives containing one spin label at various positions (Leu 1, Glu 2, Lys 15, Lys 25, Lys 26, His 31, Lys 44 and Lys 46) to purified solubilized acetylcholine receptor protein (AchR) from Torpedo marmorata was studied by EPR techniques. AchR interaction with several dansylated neurotoxin II derivatives was followed by difference fluorescence spectroscopy. A series of neurotoxin II p-azidobenzoyl derivatives were prepared and in three of them modified lysine residues were identified.
