The glycoconjugates with BSA (bovine serum albumin) were synthesized using a next saccharide: disaccharide derivative M.leprae PGL-1 (phenolic glycolipid-1); a complex of the disaccharide fragment and the branched hexasaccharide fragment LAM (lipoarabinomannan); diarabinofuranose fragment LAM. These glycoconjugates were used as antigenic components for leprosy rapid serotest construction in immunochromatographic format (leprosy LF serotest).

Our sequence analysis of the pla gene from 118 Y.

In the Russian Federation, borreliosis registered with an index of 6-7 per 100,000 people annually. In reality, LD morbidity in Russia is much higher because Russian strains develop less erythematous rashes compared to North American strains, thus missed by physicians in most of the early cases, and current serology tests have insufficient sensitivity as well.

It gives a number of objective reasons that impede development of a methodology to assess laboratory biological risks. A concept of continuous improvement (a process approach) is proposed for use as a biorisk management tool for biosafety assurance when handling PBA.

The nonspecific activity of this phytotoxin, with respect to plants of different families, was demonstrated. The minimum concentration (200 microg/ml) at which zinniol damages creeping thistle leaves and the median inhibition concentration (IC50) for rat embryonic fibroblasts (264 microg/ml) were determined.

The embryonic period of development is characterized by the predominance of cathodic isozymes (LDH-5 and LDH-4) in all the organs under study. The increase of anodic isozymes (LDH-1 and LDH-2) takes place in the heart, kidneys and brain as the development proceeds.

The ultramicroelectrophoretic method was applied to the study of the lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) spectrum alterations during the developmental phases of mice: ovulated ova--zygote--blastocyte--embryo--oocyte--ovulated ova. Only H-subunits were found in the embryo cells before the 5th day of development. After this M-subunits appeared indicating derepression of LDH-A locus.
