Entrapment neuropathy of the suprascapular nerve is a rare disease of the peripheral nerve system. Of Mumenthaler's 3465 patients with peripheral nerve lesions, only 15 had suprascapular nerve damage. Since Thompson's and Kopell's first description of suprascapular entrapment neuropathy in 1959, some reports have been published.

The extra-abdominal aggressive fibromatosis is a locally aggressive non-metastasizing fibroproliferative tumor of the locomotive system with an extremely high recurrence rate. By means of a case report the treatment possibilities are discussed. The recommended treatment of choice is a wide resection where possible.

This study attempts an ultrasonographic classification of Legg-Calve-Perthes disease according to sonoanatomic and sonometric criteria. Four stages, similar to standard radiological staging, could reproducibly be found in 29 patients with unilateral disease. The stages could be significantly differentiated according to descriptive sonoanatomic criteria and partially newly introduced sonographic measurements, including epiphysis-metaphysis-index and acetabulum-epiphysis-distance.

A perfusion system was described for maintaining isolated guinea pig livers in a stable functional state for five hours. Oxygen supply, oxygen consumption, as well as perfusate flow were within physiologic limits. Liver function was investigated by means of indocyanine green elimination and galactose elimination.

Metastases of a meningioma occurred in a 45-year-old man 4 years after removal of a falx meningioma and 1 year after removal of a malignant relapse. They were situated in the cervical, nuchal, and supra-clavicular lymph nodes. The review of 63 cases of metastasising meningial tumours from the literature, shows that lymph nodes are the most frequent site of metastases after lung and liver.
