We have investigated the structural and magnetic properties of ion-beam deposited polycrystalline NiFe (25 nm)/Fe-oxide (35 nm) bilayers. A film prepared with an assist beam O2 to Ar gas ratio of 0% during deposition had a bottom layer that consisted of pure b.c.

Characterization of outer membrane proteins from Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans.

Outer membranes were prepared from whole cells of various strains of Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans and analysed by SDS-polyacrylamide gel (12.5%) electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). In all strains four common major outer membrane proteins (OMPs) with molecular masses of 30, 34, 36 and 39 kDa could be distinguished.

The incidence of anti-IgG antibodies (rheumatoid factors, RF) in body fluids (sera, synovial fluids and aqueous humor) selected from 62 normal and 275 diseased dogs was studied. Fluids were assayed by canine versions of standard agglutinating and/or precipitating RF assays with routine application in human practice. [Impulse activity of bulbar respiratory neurons in myocardial ischemia in cats].

Acute experiments on cats anesthetized with nembutal, using a microelectrode technique, have demonstrated that pinching of the coronary artery involves changes in the patterns of impulse activity in all types of bulbar respiratory neurons, up to the appearance of ischemic shifts on the ECG. Progression of myocardial ischemia is paralleled by changes in all the bulbar respiratory neurons.
