Environmental light exposure plays a role in the entrainment of the infant circadian rhythm, which is crucial for growth and development. This scoping review aims to evaluate existing literature linking the role of light exposure in the development of the infant circadian rhythm. This scoping review is conducted in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR guidelines.

The biochemical mechanisms that lead to this disorder are not yet fully understood, and in this respect, metabolomics represents a promising approach to decipher metabolic events related to AUD. The plasma metabolome contains a plethora of bioactive molecules that reflects the functional changes in host metabolism but also the impact of the gut microbiome and nutritional habits.

Work routines, the composition of teams and subsequently mundane nursing practices were all altered to sustain the accessibility and quality of care. These dramatic changes demanded a reshaping of the nurses' work environment.

In this mixed-methods pilot study (both qualitative and quantitative), constructive and observational methodologies were combined. Healthcare providers' and patients' views on MRs and aspects of Aruban healthcare and culture relevant to MRs were examined.

Previous studies have shown that limbic-predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy neuropathological change (LATE-NC) increases with age, but there have been only a few studies, which have investigated this entity in a population-based setting. Here we studied the frequency of LATE-NC and its associations with other brain pathologies and cognition in a population aged ≥ 85 years.

Adaptive teacher support fosters effective learning in one-to-one teaching sessions, which are a common way of learning complex visual tasks in the health sciences. Adaptive support is tailored to student needs, and this is difficult in complex visual tasks as visual problem-solving processes are covert and thus cannot be directly observed by the teacher. Eye-tracking apparatus can measure covert processes and make them visible in gaze displays: visualizations of where a student looks while executing a task.

While fetal programming happens during the pregnancy period, external environmental cues and infant nutritional programming can have substantial effects on the infant circadian rhythm. Understanding prenatal and postnatal factors determining infant circadian rhythm can improve future interventions in optimizing maternal and infant health.

Self-monitoring is essential for effectively regulating learning, but difficult in visual diagnostic tasks such as radiograph interpretation. Eye-tracking technology can visualize viewing behavior in gaze displays, thereby providing information about visual search and decision-making. We hypothesized that individually adaptive gaze-display feedback improves posttest performance and self-monitoring of medical students who learn to detect nodules in radiographs.

To better understand these changes, it is essential to develop a reliable questionnaire that addresses lifestyle habits such as snacking and daytime napping. This study aimed to determine the validity and reliability of the Chrononutrition Profile Questionnaire-Pregnancy (CPQ-P).

We investigated alpha-synuclein pathology in brain tissue of the Tampere Sudden Death Study-unselected forensic autopsies on individuals living outside hospital institutions in Finland. Of 562 (16-95 years) participants, 42 were positive for Lewy-related pathology (LRP).

Here we introduce new wildfire statistics for The Netherlands, and summarize significant events and fatalities. The period 2017-2022 saw 611 wildfires and 405 ha burned per year, which Copernicus' European Forest Fire Information System satellite data vastly underestimate.

Older patients have limited physiologic reserves, which renders them vulnerable to the stress of major abdominal surgery. We aimed to determine if the severity of preoperative anemia is associated with early postoperative morbidity among older patients undergoing major abdominal surgery.

Therefore, the aim of this study is to co-create with Belgian stakeholders a multi-indication pricing model and procedural pathway, to identify conditions for implementation, and to illustrate the multi-indication pricing model with a case study. Different multi-indication pricing models were identified from the literature, case studies and pilots in other countries.

Background: Psychological wellbeing during pregnancy is imperative for optimal maternal outcomes. The present study aimed to determine the association between sleep quality, light exposure at night, and psychological wellbeing in the 2 and 3 trimesters of pregnancy.
Methods: This prospective study was conducted in 9 randomly selected government maternity clinics in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
. Despite the number of treatments performed with electronic brachytherapy (eBT) there is no uniform methodology for reference dosimetry for international traceability to primary dosimetry standards in different eBT systems. The objective of this study is to propose a formalism for traceability reference dosimetry in superficial eBT, that is easy to apply in the clinic.

While some view rebel nurse leadership as challenging traditional structures to improve patient care, others see it as disruptive and harmful. These diverging opinions create dilemmas for nurses and nurse managers in daily practice.
