Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to investigate how vaccination and beta-carotene supplementation affect oxidative stress and antibody levels in calves.
  • Thirty calves were split into two groups—one received beta-carotene supplements while the other did not, and both groups were vaccinated against a respiratory virus.
  • Results showed that beta-carotene reduced oxidative stress in the supplemented group, but it did not influence the antibody response to the vaccine, possibly due to existing maternal antibodies.
