Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome (MRKHS) is a rare congenital disorder characterized by agenesis of the uterus and upper two-thirds of the vagina. It affects around 1 in 4000-5000 females and is of two types: type 1, also known as isolated Müllerian aplasia or Rokitansky, which involves only uterovaginal agenesis, and type 2, presents as uterovaginal agenesis along with renal, cardiac, and other organ anomalies. Despite the absence of vaginal and uterine structures, individuals with MRKHS typically present with normal secondary sexual characteristics and ovarian functions.

Introduction/objectives: Insomnia is a common sleep disorders that affects most individuals in the United States, and worldwide. Insomnia is linked with an increased risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) in adults, although the strengths of association were weak, especially in the elderly population. AF is estimated to affect approximately 3 to 6 million people in the United States.

The conflict posed threats to various facets of their lives, such as men-tal health, socio-economic status, human rights, and the process of reintegration into their original communities. This study was done with the survivors of torture from the armed conflict.

While the nucleation, chain mobility, and crystallization time from rapid cooling are known competing mechanisms in crystallization, herein we elucidate that the crystalline morphology and architecture also play a key role in tuning the mechanical performance. We explore how modifying the spherulite morphology via a cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) and graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) hybrid system in their pristine form can improve or preserve the mechanical properties of poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) nanocomposites under two extreme cooling rates (fast -460 °C/min and slow -0.

Methods: This was a population-based cohort study of women with CKD who had a pregnancy from 2010 to 2022 (n = 95). At the time of the woman's pregnancy, data was collected on demographics, clinical measures, BMI, CKD etiology and other renal parameters.
Identifying factors that significantly affect drivers that are repeatedly involved in traffic violations or non-fatal crashes (defined here as recidivist drivers) is very important in highway safety studies. This study sought to understand the relationship between a set of variables related to previous driving violations and the duration between a previous non-fatal crash and a subsequent fatal crash, taking into account the age and gender of the driver. By identifying the characteristics of this unique driver population and the factors that influence the duration between their crash events strategies can be put in place to prevent the occurrence of future and potentially fatal crashes.

These shellfish waste-derived polysaccharides have numerous functional and biological properties that can be applied in various industries, including the cosmeceutical industry. In keeping with global sustainability and green industry trends, the cosmeceuticals industry is transitioning from petrochemical-based ingredients to natural substitutes.

Proteinuria during pregnancy can result in adverse fetomaternal outcomes. The study aimed to find the prevalence of proteinuria among pregnant women admitted to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of a tertiary care centre.

Increased prevalence of cardiovascular disease and higher cardiovascular morbidity is seen in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of high serum homocysteine levels among women with polycystic ovarian syndrome visiting an infertility clinic of a tertiary care centre.

Consequently, peptide antigens are administered with immunostimulatory adjuvants, but only a few are safe and effective for human use. To overcome this obstacle, herein a peptide antigen was lipidated to effectively anchor it to liposomes and emulsion.
