Unlabelled: The integration of olfactory and spatial information is critical for guiding animal behavior. The lateral entorhinal cortex (LEC) is reciprocally interconnected with cortical areas for olfaction and the hippocampus and thus ideally positioned to encode odor-place associations. Here, we used mini-endoscopes to record neural activity in the mouse piriform cortex (PCx) and LEC.

Using the relational demography perspective, this paper explored the viewpoints of hijab and non-hijab-wearing Muslim women in Delhi regarding the different forms of discrimination and/or social isolation they may have experienced. Thematic analysis was used to explore the participant's narratives, gathered by means of six focus group discussions (n = 38).

Objective: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) demonstrates a higher risk of fractures compared to the healthy population. Therefore, the aim of our study is to assess the risk of osteoporosis in T2DM patients.
Methodology: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted in T2DM patients.
Objective: To determine the efficacy of addition of melatonin or triclofos to sleep deprivation as compared with sleep deprivation with placebo for conduct of successful sleep electroencephalogram (EEG) among children between 6 months and 12 years of age.
Design, Setting And Patients: 486 children aged between 6 months and 12 years who were uncooperative or referred for sleep EEG were enrolled for this double-blind, placebo-controlled randomised trial between 30 June 2022 and 31 March 2023.
Intervention: On the day of sleep EEG, participants were sleep deprived by 25% of their regular sleep duration and then randomly assigned to receive either triclofos (50 mg/kg), melatonin (weight ≤15 kg=3 mg; weight >15 kg=6 mg) or placebo.
Emerging in vivo evidence suggests that repeated muscle contraction, or exercise, impacts peripheral nerves. However, the difficulty of isolating the muscle-specific impact on motor neurons in vivo, as well as the inability to decouple the biochemical and mechanical impacts of muscle contraction in this setting, motivates investigating this phenomenon in vitro. This study demonstrates that tuning the mechanical properties of fibrin enables longitudinal culture of highly contractile skeletal muscle monolayers, enabling functional characterization of and long-term secretome harvesting from exercised tissues.

We assessed the non-inferiority and the lot-to-lot consistency of a pentavalent meningococcal ACYWX conjugate vaccine (NmCV-5; Serum Institute of India, Pune, India) versus a quadrivalent meningococcal ACWY conjugate vaccine (MenACWY-D) in healthy adults.
Methods: In this observer-blind, randomised, active-controlled, phase 2/3 study, healthy adults aged 18-85 years were recruited from nine hospitals across seven cities in India.
Background: Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) capturing stents were developed to enhance endothelial repair and reduce the risk of stent thrombosis, addressing limitations of Sirolimus-Eluting Stents (SES). This study aims to compare the safety and efficacy of EPC stents versus SES in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: We performed a meta-analysis following PRISMA guidelines in patients undergoing PCI treated with Sirolimus eluting stent (SES) vs the use of EPC stents and recognized 8 clinical trials with patients undergoing PCI and reporting outcomes such as Target Lesion Failure (TLF), stent thrombosis, and revascularisation.
Background: Hypothyroidism is an endocrine disorder in which the thyroid gland does not produce an adequate amount of thyroid hormones. This study aimed to determine the efficacy of yoga asanas as an add-on therapy for the management of hypothyroidism.
Materials And Methods: For this interventional clinical study, a total of 450 study participants were screened for eligibility.

The prepared copper iodide nanoparticles were impregnated on the support of ferrite nanoparticles functionalized with polyaniline, resulting in a magnetically recoverable heterogeneous nanocomposite. The activity of the prepared nanocomposite was investigated in the synthesis of propargylamine derivatives A coupling under mild conditions. Techniques such as FESEM, EDAX, XRD, XPS, TEM, BET and FTIR were used to characterize the effective and unique heterogeneous FeO/PANI/CuI nanocomposite developed in this work.

The complete genome assembly of strains B11103, B11221, and B11244 is reported in this manuscript. These strains represent the three geographical clades, namely, South Asian (Clade I), South African (Clade III), and South American (Clade IV).

This prospective study aims to assess the survivorship, clinical, and radiological outcomes using a novel 'kinematic retaining' (KR) implant.
Methods: 156 patients underwent TKR surgery for primary osteoarthritis using the Physica KR implant at three European Centres.
Introduction: Hip dislocations are mainly high-energy injuries which generally occur posteriorly. The anterior dislocations of the hip are rare and this dislocation coupled with a neck of femur fracture is very less likely.
Case Report: This article presents a rare and challenging case of a 43-year-old chronic alcoholic man with an anterior hip dislocation and ipsilateral neck of femur fracture.

Aims: The skeletal effects of metformin monotherapy and in combination with teneligliptin are not well illustrated in patients with T2DM. To address this, we conducted an observational study to evaluate the effect of these oral hypoglycemic agents on bone turnover markers.
Methods: We recruited patients with T2DM and first-ever prescribed metformin monotherapy or metformin combined with teneligliptin from a tertiary care teaching hospital in New Delhi, North India.
Background: Patients with a fractured femur experience intense pain during positioning for neuraxial block for definitive surgery. Femoral nerve block (FNB) is therefore often given prior to positioning for analgesia. In our study, we compare the onset and quality of block of 0.

There are few studies which have evaluated the gait parameters of a Kinematic retaining (Kr) prosthesis. This study therefore aims to investigate the kinetic and kinematic differences of running and walking, in the ankle, knee and hip joints in patients who underwent a Kr TKR.
