[The potentials of gastric biopsy in the diagnosis of dysplasia and cancer of the stomach].

The paper is concerned with the clinico-morphological analysis of the state of the art in diagnosing dysplasia and cancer of the stomach using gastric biopsy in a nononcological department of a regional hospital. Within three years, 13,459 gastroscopies were performed, 31.7% of them involving a biopsy.
