Objectives: Residents experience numerous work-related and personal stressors that make it difficult to focus in the operating room, negatively impacting learning and surgical performance. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy decreases anxiety and improves memory and learning. This study aimed to create a feasible and desirable modified mindfulness curriculum for surgical residents.

Methods: In this retrospective review, 5 consecutive deidentified surgical reports per surgeon were evaluated by two reviewers. Each dictation was assigned a quality score (between 0 and 28), based on the number of components from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) classification system that were documented.
Objective: To synthesize the terminology utilized in nerve-sparing surgical literature and propose standardized and nonconflicting terms to allow for consistent vocabulary.
Design: We performed a literature search on PubMed using the search terms "pelvis" and "nerve-sparing." Nongynecologic surgery and animal studies were excluded.

Somatic nerve entrapment caused by endometriosis is an underrecognized and often misdiagnosed issue that leads to many women suffering unnecessarily. While the classic symptoms of endometriosis are well-known to the gynaecologic surgeon, the dermatomal-type pain caused by endometriosis impacting neural structures is not within gynecologic day-to-day practice, which often complicates diagnosis and delays treatment. A thorough understanding of pelvic neuroanatomy and a neuropelveologic approach is required for accurate assessments of patients with endometriosis and nerve entrapment.

Data Sources: The authors searched MEDLINE, PubMed, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, and ClinicalTrials.gov from January 2012 to December 2022.
Purpose Of Review: The purpose of this review is to provide a clinically relevant synthesis of the current literature on cesarean scar defects, focusing on their epidemiology and clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
Recent Findings: Cesarean scar defects (CSDs) are an emerging area of gynecologic research, with an influx of higher quality cohorts, randomized controlled trials, and systematic reviews published within the last decade. Recent developments of importance include the European Niche Taskforce consensus on the measurement and diagnosis of CSDs, the proposal of clinical criteria for Cesarean scar disorder (CSDi), as well as the publication of several systematic reviews, which provide enhanced support for clinical decision-making in treatment strategies.

Study Objective: To evaluate whether there are differences in several performance metrics between male and female surgeons for hysterectomies.
Design: Multicenter retrospective cohort study. We matched surgeries performed by female surgeons to those by male surgeons using a propensity score and compared outcomes by gender after adjusting for years in practice and fellowship training.

Objective: To determine the incidence, types of organisms and resistance patterns involved in early-onset neonatal sepsis in Canada.
Study Design: Early-onset neonatal sepsis cases were identified through the Canadian Paediatric Surveillance Program. Neonates were excluded if they were asymptomatic or if intracranial procedures preceded a positive cerebrospinal fluid culture.
We aim to explore the experiences of fathers from inner-city families caring for children affected by chronic health conditions or disabilities. A systematic scoping review was conducted using the Arskey and O'Malley framework. Fourteen of the 5114 articles were included in the full review and were qualitatively evaluated in terms of stressors, resources, perception, coping, and adaptation according to the Double ABCX model.

The authors refused to use the imitation model (equivalent DNA dilutions) for the sake of obtaining the maximally informative data and chose to work with real preparations of solitary buccal epithelial cells isolated by the laser microdissection technique. It was shown that neither the use of the low-plexity multilocus PCR systems nor the whole genome pre-amplification technology makes possible reliable genotyping of STR-loci of chromosomal DNA in individual cells.

The binding of IMG-5 to ACCPAb has been shown to be specific (dose-dependent and reversible). The serum samples from patients with RA, controls, and donors show a significant difference in the interaction of the synthetic peptide with ACCPAb (p < 0.

Aim: To study beta2-GP-I-dependent binding of phospholipid antibodies (PAb) to phospholipids and this process participation in pathogenesis of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS).
Materials And Methods: IgG-fractions and sera from 20 patients with APS. Cofactor activity of beta2-GP-I isolated from serum of healthy donors was examined with modified immunoassay.
A series of artificial antigens were synthesized on the basis of the FC(Acm)KNKEKKC(Acm)S peptide from the beta 2-glycoprotein I sequence: lipophilic analogues, the peptide-BSA conjugate, and multiple antigen peptide (MAP) containing eight copies of the peptide on an oligolysyl core. The solid phase method for acylation of the peptide with fatty acids and the HPLC analysis of the acylpeptides were described. Antigenic properties of the resulting compounds were evaluated by CL-ELISA.

Out of 71 sera 3 specimens had the values of optical density higher than the upper normal limits. Based on the investigation conducted and the analysis of the clinical picture, the authors suspected a Borrelia origin of these cardiac involvements.
