Immunoblastic lymphoma (IBL) showing features of angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy (AIBL) is described. Abundant eosinophilic extracellular deposits were present in lymph nodes. Electron microscopic and immunoperoxidase studies showed this material was composed of degenerating tumor cells and polyclonal immunoglobulins (Mu and Alpha heavy chains and Kappa and Lambda light chains).

Primary small cell (oat cell) carcinoma of the larynx is a rare condition. We report a case of primary oat cell carcinoma of the subglottic larynx associated with a synchronous IgD multiple myeloma (an unreported association). An increased incidence of carcinoma associated with plasma cell disorders has been reported, and the theories of this association are discussed.

Two patients who were admitted in the prodromal stage of measles with right lower quadrant pain are described. One patient underwent appendectomy. Histologic examination of the appendix showed the characteristic Warthin-Finkeldey giant cells in the subepithelial layer and allowed the pathologist to predict a measles rash before it appeared.
