Flux-periodic oscillations of the superconducting gap in proximitized core-shell nanowires are explored. Periodicity of oscillations in the energy spectrum of a cylindrical nanowire is compared with nanowires having hexagonal and square cross-section geometry, along with the effects of Zeeman and Rashba spin-orbit interaction. A transition between/and/2periodicity is found and shown to be dependent on the chemical potential, with correspondence to degeneracy points of the angular momentum quantum number.

Methods: A diamond-shaped stent-base was cut from a sequential biaxially strained poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) tube for optimized performance. The performance of the stent-base was evaluated in a finite element analysis model, and validation was attempted in vitro through a cyclic flat-plate compression and radial force measurement.
Our study evaluates the long-term effect of microalbuminuria on mortality among patients with acute myocardial infarction. We followed 151 patients from 1996 to 2007 to investigate if microalbuminuria is a risk factor in coronary heart disease. All patients admitted with acute myocardial infarction in 1996 were included.
