Background: Microbiome dysbiosis plays a role in the pathogenesis of many urological diseases, including bladder cancer (BC). The aim of the study was to compare the urinary and gut microbiota of patients with BC with a healthy control (HC) group.
Methods: The study group included patients hospitalized in 2020 to 2021 with diagnosed BC and HC.
Introduction: Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, inflammatory skin disorder with a well-documented impact on quality of life (QoL). Due to the very distinctive features of HS the clinical picture, and lack of specific questions, generic dermatology QoL questionnaires cannot adequately reflect patients' suffering.
Aim: To translate and validate the Polish version of the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Quality of Life 24 (HSQoL-24) questionnaire.
Chronic itch (CI) is a common symptom caused by both dermatological and systemic disorders. CI is also a frequent, burdensome symptom among renal transplant recipients (RTR); however, its pathophysiology is not fully understood. The aim of this study was to assess the differences in concentration of IL-31 among itchy RTR.

A retrospective comparative analysis was performed, recruiting 101 KTRs with urosepsis, 100 KTRs with UTI, and 100 KTRs without history of UTI or sepsis. The incidences of AKI in the urosepsis and UTI groups were 75.

It has a well-established impact on patients' quality of life. Moreover, patients with psoriasis exhibit a higher prevalence of comorbidities, including hypertension, diabetes, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Although CS is generally well tolerated, some patients describe the pain related to the procedure as high or even "unbearable". As a result, many patients fear and avoid both primary and/or follow-up cystoscopies.

The flow in AVFs is associated with the diameter of its vessels and thus with the AVF location. The main objective of this study is to assess the influence of AVF location and its patency on the self-reported quality of life (QOL) of kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) with past history of hemodialysis.

Among previously hemodialyzed kidney transplant recipients (KTxR), the AVF may persist over time. The patients' decisions whether to ligate the functioning AVF may be prompted by many factors.

Aims: We sought to investigate the diagnostic and prognostic value of blood-derived systemic inflammatory markers during urosepsis in KTxR.
