Introduction: People living with HIV (PLHIV) have a 20-fold risk of tuberculosis (TB) disease compared to HIV-negative people. In 2021, the uptake of TB preventive treatment among the children and adolescents living with HIV at the Baylor-Uganda HIV clinic was 45%, which was below the national target of 90%. Minimal evidence documents the enablers and barriers to TB preventive treatment (TPT) initiation and completion among children and adolescents living with HIV(CALHIV).

Globally, people living with HIV on antiretroviral therapy have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Hypertension is the most important preventable risk factor for cardiovascular disease and is associated with increased morbidity. We conducted an exploratory survey with hypertensive persons living with HIV who received integrated HIV and hypertension care in a large clinic in Uganda between August 2019 and March 2020 to determine factors associated with blood pressure control at six months.

Background: Adolescents experience high rates of depression, initiation of sexual activity, and substance use.

Objectives: To better understand the demographics of adolescents presenting to an adolescent clinic in Uganda, and to elucidate which factors are associated with depressive symptoms, sexual initiation, and substance use.

Methods: A retrospective review was performed on intake forms obtained during interviews with adolescents presenting to the Makerere/Mulago Columbia Adolescent Health Clinic (MMCAH) in Kampala, Uganda.
