Article Synopsis
  • A 53-year-old man was found to have multiple granular cell tumors, with one in the esophagus and seven in the stomach, leading to endoscopic resection and gastrectomy.
  • Histological examination showed that the tumors had spindle or polyhedral cells with eosinophilic granules, and were mostly located in the submucosal layer, with some tumor cells seen in surrounding tissues.
  • The tumors were diagnosed as benign due to low positivity for p53 and Ki-67 markers, despite granular cell tumors being rare in the digestive tract.
