Multicentric carpotarsal osteolysis syndrome (MCTO) is a rare skeletal disorder characterized by aggressive osteolysis associated with progressive nephropathy. The early clinical presentation can mimic polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Since 2012, mutations have been discovered in all MCTO patients.
