Introduction: The development of new highly accurate, inexpensive and accessible methods for the detection of lower-extremity peripheral artery disease (LE-PAD) in diabetic patients is required. The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of a new incoherent optical fluctuation flowmetry (IOFF) method in detecting legs with hemodynamically significant stenoses compared to ankle brachial index (ABI) and transcutaneous oximetry (TcPO2) in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM).

Materials And Methods: Patients were recruited into 2 groups.

(2) Methods: This was an observational, cross-sectional, two-center study.

Materials And Methods: The study included 1446 conditionally healthy volunteers from 9 ethnic groups. Carriage of polymorphic TPMT and DPYD gene markers was detected by the Real-Time PCR (polymerase chain reaction) method.

A universal algorithm for finding the shortest distance between systems of points.

Three universal algorithms for geometrical comparison of abstract sets of n points in the Euclidean space R are proposed. It is proved that at an accuracy ε the efficiency of all the algorithms does not exceed O(n/ε). The most effective algorithm combines the known Hungarian and Kabsch algorithms, but is free of their deficiencies and fast enough to match hundreds of points.

Effects of the rs2244613 polymorphism of the CES1 gene on the antiplatelet effect of the receptor P2Y12 blocker clopidogrel.

Background The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of the carriage of the rs2244613 polymorphism of the CES1 gene with clopidogrel resistance as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of antiplatelet therapy in the carriers of this marker who have had acute coronary syndrome (ACS). This study also analyzes the procedure of percutaneous coronary intervention and compares the rs2244613 carrier rate between patients with ACS and healthy participants. Methods The study involved 81 patients diagnosed with ACS and 136 conditionally healthy participants.

[Genetic and non-genetic factors of laboratory resistance to clopidogrel in patients with ischemic stroke].

To identify clinical and pharmacogenetic predictors of the efficacy of clopidogrel in patients with AI based on CYP2C19 and ABCB1 genotyping. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Clinical and laboratory examinations were performed in 121 patients with AI, and CYP2C19 polymorphisms (CYP2C19*2 (G681A, rs4244285), CYP2C19*3 (G363A, rs4986893), CYP2C19*17 (C806T, rs12248560), ABCB1 (C3435T, rs1045642), associated with a disturbance of antiplatelet action of clopidogrel. The carriage of polymorphic markers of the studied genes was determined by the method of polymerase chain reaction in real time.

Genetic determinants of dabigatran safety (CES1 gene rs2244613 polymorphism) in the Russian population: multi-ethnic analysis.

This study was aimed to investigate the prevalence of the CES1 gene (c.1168-33A > C, rs2244613) polymorphism among 12 different ethnic groups living in Russia to provide a basis for future clinical studies concerning genetic determinants of dabigatran safety. The study involved 1630 apparently healthy, unrelated, and chronic medication-free volunteers of both genders from 12 different ethnic groups in Russia: 136 Russians, 90 Avars, 50 Dargins, 46 Laks, 120 Kabardians, 112 Balkars, 244 Ossetians, 206 Mari, 204 Mordvinians, 238 Chuvashes, 114 Buryats and 70 Nanays.

The purpose of the study is to examine the characteristics of heart rate variability (HRV) in the given cohort of patients. Materials and Methods: The main group consisted of 68 patients with a mean age of 35,37 ± 10,34 years.

[The use of antistax in the treatment of discirculatory encephalopathy].

Authors have studied the effect of antistax on the cerebral venous discirculation (VD) in patients with discirculatory encephalopathy. Forty-three patients (mean age 46,8±1,8 years) received antistax in daily dose 720 mg during 2 months. Efficacy of treatment was assessed using the Visual Analogous Scale, Doppler ultrasound data, result of a non-invasive study of peripheral arterial tonus (PAT).

Prophylaxis and treatment procedures in children with different dental status was done during 9 years. Children and teenagers of 6-12 and 15-years were given teeth treatment and professional hygiene. One group of patients was additionally treated by immunomodulators imudon.

[Amantadine sulfate (PK-Merz) in the treatment of ischemic stroke: a clinical-experimental study].

A rat model of big brain ischemia with the middle brain artery occlusion was used for the study of amantadine sulfate (PK-Merz) effect on the expression of Hsp70 measured with immunohistochemical method and Western blot 12 h and 4 days after surgery. The neuroprotective effect of PK-Merz associated with the enhancement of Hsp70 expression in ischemic stroke in rats. To confirm the multivector neuroprotective action of the drug, a comparative study of clinical effectiveness of PK-Merz and magnesium sulfate was carried out in 40 patients (20 patients in each group) in the most acute period of atherothrombotic and cardioembolic strokes.
