Review of the Oriental genus Neoclarkinella Rema and Narendran, 1996 (Hymenoptera: Braconidae, Microgastrinae) with the description of two new species from India.

The rarely collected Oriental genus Neoclarkinella Rema and Narendran, 1996 is reviewed. Four species, all from India, are recognized of which two are described as new, namely Neoclarkinella janakikkadensis sp. nov.

Taxonomic notes on the paper wasps of the genus in the Indian subcontinent (Hymenoptera: Vespidae).

The taxonomy of wasps in the Indian subcontinent is revised, recognizing 26 species in the subcontinent. Their diagnostic characteristics are summarized in a key to species. New synonymies proposed in the present study are: Das and Gupta, 1989 under van der Vecht, 1962; van der Vecht, 1941 under van der Vecht, 1941; Lambert and Narendran, 2005 and Lambert and Narendran, 2005, both under Fabricius, 1804; Das and Gupta, 1989, and Lambert and Narendran, 2005, both under du Buysson, 1908; Lambert and Narendran, 2005, under Lepeletier, 1836; Lambert and Narendran, 2005, under Cameron, 1900; van der Vecht, 1941 under Cameron, 1905; Smith, 1858, under Weber, 1801; and a revised synonymy is Smith, 1857, under Smith, 1852.
