Background: Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a condition that affects nearly 3-9% of the women in the reproductive age during the luteal phase of each menstrual cycle characterized by symptoms varying in severity and affecting the quality of life. Earlier research studies conducted have reported independent relationships between PvuII-ESR1-polymorphism and psychological traits in PMDD and risk for cognitive, behavioral, and affective symptoms. However, as the studies are few in number and the results are not consistent, there is a need for our study to link between the PvuII-ESR1gene and PMDD.

Urinary tract stones predominantly affect the kidneys and ureters, with bladder stones representing a smaller subset. Secondary bladder stones often arise from underlying pathologies such as bladder outlet obstruction, neurogenic bladder dysfunction, or the presence of foreign bodies within the bladder. We present a case of a 54-year-old male with a history of bladder stones and type 2 diabetes mellitus who presented with chronic urinary symptoms and penile swelling.

The near-infinite compositional space of high-entropy-alloys (HEAs) is a huge resource-intensive task for developing exceptional materials. In the present study, an algorithmic framework has been developed to optimize the composition of an alloy with chosen set of elements, aiming to maximize the hardness of the former. The influence of phase on hardness prediction of HEAs was thoroughly examined.

In this work, the authors have demonstrated the use of machine learning (ML) models in the prediction of bulk modulus for High Entropy Alloys (HEA). For the first time, ML has been used for optimizing the composition of HEA to achieve enhanced bulk modulus values. A total of 12 ML algorithms were trained to classify the elemental composition as HEA or non-HEA.

Background: Geriatric psychiatry has yet to receive its due recognition in India. There is increasing evidence of a rise in morbidity, mortality, hospitalization, and loss of functional status related to common mental disorders in the elderly patients. Collaborative care approach, including a clinical pharmacist, is one of the possible approaches to cope with geriatric patients with psychiatric patients.

Medical education in India is undergoing a landmark transformation under the National Medical Commission implementing competency-based medical education (CBME). The CBME approach intends to ensure that medical graduates acquire the competencies needed to fulfill the health needs of the patient and society. This outcome-based approach shifts the focus from the traditional knowledge-based training to skill-based training valued on attitude, ethics, and communication (AETCOM) competencies.

The COVID19 pandemic is an unprecedented disaster. In India, the spread of COVID19 infection and the subsequent lockdown coincided with a crucial period of the annual examination in almost all educational institutions. The pandemic has created hurdles in the conduct of examination due to many reasons, some of which are spread of infection and associated safety issues, lack of public transport for patients as well as the postgraduates in outstation and examiners, and lack of workforce due to round-the-clock service for rendering health services leading to difficulty in arranging logistics at the examination center.

Background: Humic acid is a promising natural resource to be utilized as an alternative for increasing soil fertility and crop production. A field experiment was conducted on the loamy sand soil at the Central Coffee Research Institute research farm, Karnataka, India for 2 years to evaluate the influence of humic acid on yield and bean quality of coffee with six treatments. The treatments comprised of recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF), humic acid soil application and foliar spray along with nutrient mixture and growth hormones.

Objectives: This systematic review (PROSPERO CRD42019115918) compared the evidence behind anticholinergic burden (ACB) measures and their ability to predict changes in older people's physical function and quality of life.

Design: Eligible cohort or case-control studies were identified systematically using comprehensive search terms and a validated search filter for prognostic studies. Medline (OVID), EMBASE (OVID), CINAHL (EMBSCO), and PsycINFO (OVID) databases were searched.
