The paper is concerned with analysis of CT-investigation of 150 patients with diseases of the biliopancreatoduodenal area, whose diagnosis was verified histologically or by clinical observation over time, using other methods, (USI, RCPG, etc.). The authors have arrived at a conclusion that for increasing the informative value of CT one should use various methods of a contrast study of the duodenum and biliary tract, electron reconstruction of CT images in different projections.

Computer-aided tomography of the carpal canal was performed in 30 patients syndromes of the carpal canal and in 20 healthy persons. Topographoanatomic interrelations of carpal canal structures were specified, degenerative and dystrophic alterations of the carpal bones, proliferation of the connective tissue, displacement of carpal structures and of the median nerve itself were revealed.

A comparative study was made of computerized tomograms of 115 patients, of them 78 suffered from nonspecific chronic pulmonary diseases (chronic bronchitis, bullous emphysema, spontaneous pneumothorax, and fibrosing alveolitis), and 37 patients were healthy. Of all transverse sections the most informative ones were defined, and anatomical reference points were determined for. A conclusion was made that computerized tomograms at 5 most informative levels were sufficient to diagnose changes in each of the lung segments in their diffuse affection.

The author presents the results of a CT use during combined investigation on 2500 patients and the wounded who were admitted to hospital on emergency as well as patients who developed serious complications during treatment, especially in the postoperative period. CT findings were verified during operation, at autopsy or during a follow-up. They were indicative of a high effectiveness of emergency CT of different organs and systems in the diagnosis of lesions, acute diseases and their complications.

The paper is devoted to a study of the results of clinicoroentgenological and endoscopic investigation of 188 patients aged 23 to 60 who developed jejunal peptic ulcer. It was done to specify the features of an x-ray picture of jejunal peptic ulcers with relation to the cause of ulcer development and optimum methods of x-ray investigation. The predominant localization of peptic ulcer in the jejunal efferent loop and its typical ulcero-cicatricial deformity were established.

The article presents results of the computer tomography examination of 205 patients at different terms after operations who were clinically suspected of the development of a limited pyo-inflammatory process in the abdominal cavity or retroperitoneal space. Abscesses were revealed in 112 patients, inflammatory infiltrates in 16 patients, the development of purulent complications was excluded in 77 patients which allowed relaparotomy to be rejected in 93 patients. The computer tomography symptoms of abdominal abscesses were established.
