Background: No multidomain intervention trials have been designed for the prevention of cognitive decline in older adults with type 2 diabetes.
Objectives: To investigate the efficacy of a multidomain intervention in preventing cognitive decline in older adults with type 2 diabetes and cognitive impairment.
Design: Eighteen-month, multi-centered, randomized controlled trial.
Pea (Pisum sativum L.), a widely cultivated legumes globally, is attracting interest as a functional food owing to its antioxidant properties derived from nutritional components such as polyphenols. We previously reported that yellow pea-based pasta (YPP) aids in controlling blood glucose and enhances the sensitivity to saltiness.

Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the surgical outcomes of a modified IOL suturing technique and investigate the factors contributing to postoperative IOL tilt and decentration.

We here determine the relationships of acetic acid intake with nutrient intake estimated using a food recording app (Asken) based on meal recipes. A total of 141 individuals (48 men and 93 women) used the app for at least 7 days per month.

Fatty acid pathways are critical for endometrial decidualization. However, the participation of fatty acids as an energy source and their role in endometrial decidualization have received little attention.

We included 25 healthy young individuals in our study. The center of gravity sway was measured during open- and closed-eye static standing using images of walking in corridors of different widths (780 and 1600 mm) presented on a VR and personal computer monitor (Monitor).

Methods: Participants were recruited via convenience and snowball sampling in the Bronx, New York with Hispanic/Latino persons living with memory challenges and care partners, outdoor activity professionals, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers/dementia experts. Co-design occurred iteratively with 5 focus groups and 4 individual interviews lasting 30-90 min and focused on program and research design.
Pericardial effusion (PE) presentation varies from an incidental finding to a life-threatening situation; thus, its etiology and clinical course remain unknown. The aim of the present study was to retrospectively investigate these factors. We analyzed 171 patients (0.

The patient was a 75-year-old woman who was referred to our hospital with a diagnosis of early gastric cancer with esophageal hiatal hernia. Laparoscopic distal gastrectomy with lymph node dissection and esophageal hiatal hernia repair using primary suture method without mesh were performed simultaneously.

Study Design: Retrospective observational study.
Methods: Twenty eyes from 20 patients (7 men, 13 women) who underwent 27-gauge pars plana vitrectomy for epiretinal membrane removal were included.
A woman in her 70s underwent mastectomy plus axillary lymph node excision(Bt plus Ax)in December 2011 for left breast cancer classified as pT2N1M0, pStage ⅡB. The tumor was identified as an invasive ductal carcinoma(IDC), neural/ glial antigen 2(NG2), pT2(35 mm), INF γ, ly2, v0, g+, f+, s+, extensive intraductal component(EIC)-negative, ICT- positive, NCAT-positive, n(4/18), estrogen receptor(ER)-negative, progesterone receptor(PgR)-negative, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-negative, Ki-67 30-40%. Postoperative adjuvant fluorouracil plus epirubicin HCl plus cyclophosphamide(FEC)plus paclitaxel(PTX)therapy was administered.

While EGA-TOFMS captures exact mass data related to the degradation components in the temperature-dependent mass spectra of the evolved products, numerous high-resolution mass spectra with large amounts of ion signals and varying intensities provide challenges for interpretation. To address this, we employed mathematical decomposition through PCA to selectively extract information about the ion series specific to the products that evolved from the degradation components.

Neural crest cells can differentiate into multiple cell types that contribute to tissues associated with TSC-related tumors, and TSC-related tumors could be specifically associated with distinct neural crest subtypes. This study aimed to clarify the clinicopathological effects of expression of neuronal markers in LAM.
