Hybrid nanocomposites based on poly(3,6-dianiline-2,5-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone) (PDACB) in salt form and graphene oxide (GO) have been obtained for the first time, and the significant influence of the preparation method on the composition and structure of nanocomposites and their functional properties has been demonstrated. Nanocomposites were prepared in three ways: via ultrasonic mixing of PDACB and GO; via in situ oxidative polymerization of 3,6-dianiline-2,5-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone (DACB) in the presence of GO; and by heating a suspension of previously prepared PDACB and GO in DMF with the removal of the solvent. The results of the study of the composition, chemical structure, morphology, thermal stability and electrical properties of nanocomposites obtained via various methods are presented.

In modern energy, various technologies for absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere are being considered, including photosynthetic microalgae. An important task is to obtain maximum productivity at high concentrations of CO in gas-air mixtures. In this regard, the aim of the investigation is to study the effect of light intensity on the biomass growth and biochemical composition of five different microalgae strains: , , , , and .

A method for conversion of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste into porous carbon material is proposed. The recycling of PET bottle waste includes the stages of low-temperature hydrolysis of the polymer and subsequent pyrolysis at 800 °C. To provide PET hydrolysis at ∼150 °C and atmospheric pressure, the polymer was pre-dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide and then an aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide was added.

New oxidative polymerization monomers-diarylaminodichlorobenzoquinones were synthesised by alkylating aniline, m-phenylenediamine and methanilic acid with chloranil. Oxidative polymerization of diarylaminodichlorobenzoquinones was studied for the first time in relation to the concentration of the monomer, acid, and oxidant/monomer ratio. It was found that the synthesized monomers are highly active in the polymerization reaction, and the oxidation rate grows with the increase in the acid concentration.

Expression of Saccharomyces cerevisiae proteasomal genes is regulated in a coordinated manner by a system that includes the ScRpn4 transcription factor and its binding site known as PACE. Earlier we showed that, Rpn4-like proteins from the biotechnologically important yeast species Komagataella pfaffii (Pichia pastoris), Yarrowia lipolytica, and Debaryomyces hansenii are capable of complementing the RPN4 deletion in S. cerevisiae in spite of their low structural similarity to ScRpn4.

Yields of liquid products (bio-oil and residual organics in aqueous solution) of hydrothermal liquefaction (at 300℃ and 60 min) of own cultivated Arthrospira platensis using different solvents have been determined. Nonpolar hexane, moderately polar dichloromethane, and relatively more polar acetonitrile have been used. High-resolution mass spectrometry based on linear quadrupole ion trap and Fourier transform mass spectrometer (LTQ FT) has been used for liquid sample characterization.

Mortality rates in Russia are very high as compared to those in other developed countries, particularly among men. A series of hypotheses associating heavy drinking and social and economic stresses of the transition period with drastic increases in mortality rates in Russia in the mid-1990s have been generated. However, the hypotheses are under analytical study on an individual level.

The influence of immunomodulators such as tactivin, thymalin, gangliin and translam on expression of lymphocyte markers in patients with melanoma was studied. It was shown in vitro that sensitivity of the lymphocyte receptors of melanoma patients to the immunomodulators was individual and depended on the initial level of the marker expression and the drug properties. Preliminary determination of sensitivity of the immunoregulatory cells to the immunomodulators lays the basis for the use of adequate immunocorrecting therapy in the complex treatment of oncologic patients.

In this article it is given an analysis of dependence of the physical development, health and adaptional processes by the children of the North according to the structure of their nutrition. In accordance with the results of this analysis the standards of nutrition and daily food sets are worked out for the children at the age of 6-17 years living on the Asiatic North. Principal difference of recommendations of the Biochemistrycal Institute is that they take in account the features of physical development and metabolism of the children's organism on the North.

Cysteine beta-93 SH-groups of horse and bovine methemoglobins (metHb) were modified by N-(1-oxyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinyl)iodoacetamide. Effects of pH, F-, CN-, oleic acid, and sodium dodecyl sulfate on spin and conformational dynamics of the protein were studied by electron and EPR spectroscopy. Oleic acid and CN- had similar effects on both parameters.

The article includes the developed analysis of the references and the results of private researches about the problems of nourishment and health of the boarding-school's children from the Russian North. It is pointed out, that in the Northern district the children's nourishment must have a protein-lipid level. It is so that a ration carbo-hydrate level is not able for the child organism to adopt in the strong climatic conditions and has a negative effect for their physical state and health too.
