This study sought to determine if reflective practice affected the readiness for self-directed learning in a sample of anesthesiology residents in the United States.
Methods: An experimental design was used to employ quantitative methods to investigate the effects of a self-guided 8-week reflective practice exercise on readiness for self-directed learning as measured by Guglielmino's Self-Directed Learning Readiness Scale/Learning Preference Assessment (SDLRS/LPA).

Methods: Three-dimensional scans with a mobile C-arm of 22 cadaver legs were taken of the intact fibula, after dissection of the anterior part of the syndesmosis and the interosseous membrane, osteotomy of the posterior malleolus, and osteosynthesis. The tibiofibular diastasis as well as the angle of fibular rotation was identified in the four steps and the means compared to each other using a t test for paired samples.
The present clinical-experimental study aims to examine the effect of pure experimental fluoride solutions and stannous chloride on the initial oral bioadhesion under in situ conditions. After 1 min of pellicle formation on bovine enamel slabs, 12 subjects rinsed with 8 ml of the fluoride test solutions (NaF, NaPOF, AmF, SnF,) with 500 ppm fluoride concentration each for 1 min. We compared a highly accelerated wave-controlled aliasing in parallel imaging (CAIPI) SWI sequence with 2 commonly used alternatives, standard SWI and T2*-weighted gradient recalled-echo (T2*W GRE), for routine clinical brain imaging at 3T.
Materials And Methods: A total of 246 consecutive adult patients were prospectively evaluated using a conventional SWI or T2*W GRE sequence and an optimized wave-CAIPI SWI sequence, which was 3-5 times faster than the standard sequence.
We present a framework for the acquisition and parametrization of object material properties. The introduced acquisition device, denoted as Texplorer2, is able to extract surface material properties while a human operator is performing exploratory procedures.
