The spin pumping effect in antiferromagnets, which ultimately converts THz waves into a spin current, is the key physical mechanism leading to an essential function which harnesses the THz technology and spintronics. Here, we report thorough experimental investigations of the spin current induced by the antiferromagnetic spin pumping effect in epitaxial α-Fe_{2}O_{3} thin films having two distinct dynamic modes and unambiguously show that both the inter- and intrasublattice spin mixing conductance are equally substantial. Our experimental insight is an important advance for understanding the physics of transduction between the spin current and the staggered magnetization dynamics at THz frequency.

Early cholecystectomy is recommended for mild cholecystitis. However, the optimal surgical timing for moderate-to-severe cholecystitis requiring percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage (PTGBD) remains unclear.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa (n=164), Klebsiella pneumoniae (n=141), and Haemophilus influenzae (n=156) isolated from respiratory infected patients in Japan from June 2019 through December 2020 provided by the Japanese Surveillance Committee were used. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing for TAZ/CTLZ, REL/IPM and comparator agents against isolates were carried out by broth microdilution methods according to the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute standard.

In cases with extensive abdominal wall involvement, it is especially important to secure adequate margins and repair abdominal wall defects. Recently, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) for LACC has shown promise in improving the chance of cure with tumor shrinkage.

However, signatures of such unusual fermionic quasiparticles in other bulk thermodynamic observables have been missing. Here we report the observation of a series of sharp double-peak features in the specific heat as a function of the magnetic field.

Methods: Healthy Japanese children aged 5-6 years received a single dose of JVC-001 following a first measles, mumps, and rubella vaccination (measles-rubella bivalent and mumps monovalent vaccine [Hoshino or Torii strain] or JVC-001) or the MMR vaccine received between ages 1 to <4 years. Immunogenicity was evaluated using antibody titers before and after vaccination (Day 1/Day 43).
We performed a plateau-linear reaction norm model (RNM) analysis of number born alive (NBA) in purebred Landrace pigs, where breeding value changes according to maximum temperature at mating day, using public meteorological observation data in Japan. We analysed 52,668 NBA records obtained from 10,320 Landrace sows. Pedigree data contained 99,201 animals.

More than 7,000,000 patients died worldwide after being infected with COVID-19; however, no specific laboratory markers have yet been established to predict death related to this disease. In contrast, electrocardiographic changes due to COVID-19 include QT prolongation and ST-T changes; however, there have not been studies on the ambulatory electrocardiographic markers of COVID-19.

Here we report the experimental realization of an intrinsic coexisting ferromagnetism, polar distortion and metallicity in quasi-two-dimensional CaCoO. This material crystallizes with alternating stacking of oxygen tetrahedral CoO monolayers and octahedral CoO bilayers.

Here, we present a case of idiopathic hypersomnia (IH), a CDH, wherein early diagnosis was aided by a video footage of a spontaneous sleep attack.

Introduction: Molnupiravir is an orally available prodrug of N-hydroxycytidine that received special approval for emergency treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Japan in December 2021 and full approval in April 2023. To assess the real-world safety and effectiveness of molnupiravir in Japanese patients with COVID-19, we conducted nationwide post-marketing surveillance to collect data at registered institutions in Japan.
Methods: The surveillance data were collected from December 27, 2021, to May 2, 2023.
The potential spin-triplet heavy-fermion superconductor UTe exhibits signatures of multiple distinct superconducting phases. For field aligned along the b axis, a metamagnetic transition occurs at μH ≈ 35 T. It is associated with magnetic fluctuations that may be beneficial for the field-reinforced superconductivity surviving up to H.

Background: The prevalence of Holter-based late potentials (H-LPs) in cases of fatal cardiac events has increased. Although the noise level of H-LP is higher than that of conventional real-time late potential (LP) recording, a procedure to reduce the noise severity in H-LP by increasing the averaging beats has not been investigated.
Methods: We enrolled 104 patients with post-myocardial infarction (MI) and 86 control participants.
: Holter-based late potentials (LPs) are useful for predicting lethal arrhythmias in organic cardiac diseases. Although Holter-based LPs exhibit diurnal variation, no studies have evaluated the optimal timing of LP measurement over 24 h for predicting lethal arrhythmia that leads to sudden cardiac death. Thus, this study aimed to validate the most effective timing for Holter-based LP testing and to explore factors influencing the diurnal variability in LP parameters.

Case Presentation: An 84-year-old female developed disturbance of consciousness (Glasgow Coma Scale E2V1M5) and quadriparesis with a National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of 35. Head CT revealed early ischemic changes in the right temporal lobe, and a hyperdense vessel sign in the BA.
