We describe the first ever reported staging procedure using the new robotic system Hugo ™ RAS for an early endometrial cancer patient with uneventful perioperative outcomes.

The clinical utility of CTC detection has been established, but few studies have employed this strategy for the detection of gynecologic cancers. Here, we present a novel, biochip-based microfluidic device for the detection of CTCs in gynecologic cancers.

Methods: The authors prospectively followed up 450 pregnant women receiving vaccination at a single center. Patients recorded prespecified adverse reactions via a mobile application up to 30 days after the first and second doses.
Background: There are many different variants of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and verrucous carcinoma (VC) is a rare and highly differentiated SCC. Due to its preference of local invasion, regional lymphatic involvement rarely occurs. VC is difficult to diagnose using conventional pap smear or cervical punch biopsy, in which adequate stroma including bulbous rete pegs is required for a definitive diagnosis.

The more severe form is usually accompanied by other congenital abnormalities.

We report a rare case of non-communicating rudimentary horn pregnancy (RHP). The patient presented with lower abdominal pain and underwent laparoscopic surgery in which the gestational tissue was removed without excision of the rudimentary horn and ipsilateral fallopian tube. Unicornuate uteri often coexist with rudimentary horns, most of which are non-communicating.

Patients And Methods: This study was a retrospective cohort study of pregnant women with singleton pregnancies at a gestational age of 11-13 weeks from May 2017 to August 2019. Serum pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A)/placental growth factor (PLGF) and maternal demographic and clinical characteristics were collected and analyzed using a logistic regression model with a preset detection rate of 74% and a 10% false-positive rate.

Angiomyofibroblastoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor usually originating from the vulva and vagina with only one reported case arising from fallopian tube. We describe a second case of tubal angiomyofibroblastoma treated successfully with laparoscopic complete resection.

Methods: Women, who underwent primary surgeries for uterine prolapse, either uterine suspension with hystero-preservation or hysterectomy during 1997-2013, were identified from National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD).We analyzed the related variables including surgical types (hystero-preservation or hysterectomy), patient age and concomitant anti-incontinence surgery, surgeon age, gender, and service volume; and hospital accreditation level, and service volume.
Objective: To investigate whether the risk of interstitial cystitis increases among the patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
Methods: This was a nationwide population-based cohort study. Data were obtained from the National Health Insurance Research Database in Taiwan.
Study Objective: To investigate the surgical trends among different types of hysterectomy (abdominal, vaginal, laparoscopic, and subtotal) over a 15-year period in Taiwan.
Design: A retrospective cohort study.
Setting: A population-based National Health Insurance Research Database.
Background And Objective: Hyperglycaemia is a common result of stress signals caused by pain and surgical procedure. Volatile anaesthetics also directly manipulate glucose homeostasis by affecting pancreatic insulin release and induce hyperglycaemia without surgical stress. We determined the preoperative application of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) to the Chinese acupoints ST36 (Zusanli) and SP6 (Sanyinjiao) as a complementary therapy for controlling plasma glucose and improving insulin resistance during anaesthesia.

However, this therapy protocol is not satisfactory, since about 50% of the treated patients eventually experience recurrence within a few years of follow-up. Thus, a more innovative treatment modality is urgently needed for patients with this malignancy.

In the current prospective study, the authors evaluated the use of fluorine-18-labeled fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) to detect disease recurrence in this setting.
Methods: Women with cervical carcinoma who experienced complete responses to primary treatment or salvage therapy and who had no evidence of recurrent disease as detected by conventional methods but had serum SCC-Ag levels > or = 2.
