Introduction: Anticoagulation remains the mainstay pharmacotherapy for acute pulmonary embolism (PE), but multiple treatment options exist. The Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) is a multidisciplinary group that evaluates patients, formulates evidence-based treatment plans, and mobilizes resources.
