We report the sudden onset of dyspnea and loss of consciousness and fetal bradycardia in a middle-aged obese nulliparous woman at 39 weeks of gestation during first stage of labor leading to the decision for emergency cesarean section. Still during surgery, the mother underwent cardiac arrest. Transesophageal echocardiography during resuscitation showed right ventricular failure leading to the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism.

Methods And Results: Rifampicin-resistant E. coli was applied to Fuji apples.
Objectives: Patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) exhibit a fast tumor growth rate and poor survival outcomes. In this study, we aimed to develop and compare intelligent algorithms using ultrasound radiomics features in addition to clinical variables to identify patients with TNBC prior to histopathologic diagnosis.
Methods: We used single-center, retrospective data of patients who underwent ultrasound before histopathologic verification and subsequent neoadjuvant systemic treatment (NAST).
Objectives: Shear wave elastography (SWE) is increasingly used in breast cancer diagnostics. However, large, prospective, multicenter data evaluating the reliability of SWE is missing. We evaluated the intra- and interobserver reliability of SWE in patients with breast lesions categorized as BIRADS 3 or 4.

We aimed to develop an intelligent algorithm using multi-modal pretreatment ultrasound and tomosynthesis radiomics features in addition to clinical variables to predict pathologic complete response (pCR) prior to the initiation of therapy.
Methods: We used retrospective data on patients who underwent ultrasound and tomosynthesis before starting NAST.
Background: Patients with intractable pain in the pudendal nerve distribution may benefit from pudendal neuromodulation; however, some may have previously undergone pudendal nerve entrapment surgery (PNES), potentially altering nerve anatomy and function.
Aim: We examined pudendal neuromodulation outcomes in patients with prior PNES.
Methods: Patients with a history of PNES and quadripolar, tined pudendal lead placement for urogenital pain were reviewed.
Kinetochores are multi-subunit protein assemblies that link chromosomes to microtubules of the mitotic and meiotic spindle. It is still poorly understood how efficient, centromere-dependent kinetochore assembly is accomplished from hundreds of individual protein building blocks in a cell cycle-dependent manner. Here, by combining comprehensive phosphorylation analysis of native Ctf19 subunits with biochemical and functional assays in the model system budding yeast, we demonstrate that Cdk1 phosphorylation activates phospho-degrons on the essential subunit Ame1, which are recognized by the E3 ubiquitin ligase complex SCF-Cdc4.

In April 2019 they opened their helpdesk to Germany. Our aim was to understand the motivations, and perceived barriers to access, for women who choose telemedicine abortion outside the formal health sector in Germany.

Kinetochore assembly is exclusively initiated at chromatin containing Cse4/CENP-A nucleosomes. The molecular mechanisms ensuring that subcomplexes assemble efficiently into kinetochores only at centromeres, but not anywhere else, are incompletely understood.

Objective: This study aimed to determine whether small fiber polyneuropathy (SFPN) diagnosis differs between Hunner lesion interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (HL IC/BPS) and non-Hunner lesion IC/BPS (NHL IC/BPS).
Methods: This was a pilot study of 20 women with IC/BPS. Results from baseline questionnaires, such as Genitourinary Pain Index, Interstitial Cystitis Symptom Index/Interstitial Cystitis Problem Index (ICSI/ICPI), Patient Health Questionnaire-2, were collected.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate changes in validated symptom scores at intake and discharge in women undergoing pelvic floor physical therapy (PFPT) for pain and other pelvic floor symptoms.
Methods: Consecutive women starting PFPT during 1 year were reviewed. History, demographics, and Pelvic Floor Distress Inventory Questionnaire - Short Form 20 (PFDI) total and domain scores (Pelvic Organ Prolapse Distress Inventory-6, Urogenital Distress Inventory-6, Colorectal-Anal Distress Inventory-8), Pelvic Floor Impact Questionnaire (PFIQ-7), and pain levels on a numeric rating scale (NRS) were collected at intake and discharge.
Objective: To introduce a quality improvement initiative tracking robotic instrument failures on a per case basis. It is imperative to understand rates of failure, financial implications of failures, and identify factors suggesting common mechanisms of failure.
Materials And Methods: Starting in January 1, 2014 a quality reporting system for failed robotic equipment began.
Objective: To evaluate the effect of different surgical procedures on Pelvic Floor Distress Inventory (PFDI) scores in women with pelvic organ prolapse.
Materials And Methods: Women with prolapse were enrolled from 2008 to 2014. Baseline data and outcomes at 1 year were collected including subscales of the PFDI.
The effect of storage temperature and time on the viability of several foodborne bacterial pathogens inoculated into vacuum-packed canned pasteurized cow's milk cheese was investigated. Three popular cheese styles namely, a semi-soft white Monterey Jack style cheese, and two Cheddar cheeses vacuum packaged in mason jars were inoculated with a 3-strain cocktail of each of the following microbes at the mean concentrations listed: Escherichia coli O157:H7 (6.6 log CFU/g), Salmonella spp.

Five hundred and forty-four men attending the PCa booth at the fair in 2014 or 2015 completed questionnaires about PCa. Data were examined using Pearson's χ, Fisher's Exact, and Wilcoxon rank tests after grouping men by African American (AA) and non-African American ethnicity.

Methods: Adult women enrolled in a prospective POP database were reviewed. Baseline and outcomes data 1 year after surgery were collected including the Pelvic Floor Distress Inventory (PFDI) and mailed surveys.
Aims: To evaluate whether baseline symptoms and outcomes are influenced by gender in a matched cohort undergoing neuromodulation.
Methods: Patients in our prospective neuromodulation database that had a tined lead placed were reviewed. Those that had implantable pulse generator (IPG) placed were matched on age and urologic diagnosis.
Objective: To examine the outcomes and compliance with percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) for overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms.
Methods: Adults who had PTNS from June 30, 2011, to October 8, 2015, were retrospectively reviewed for demographics, copay, travel distance, employment status, history, symptoms, and treatments used before, during, and after PTNS. Pearson chi-square test, Fisher exact test, Wilcoxon rank and paired t test were performed.
Unlabelled: Abdominal pelvic organ prolapse repair is efficacious for uterovaginal and apical prolapse. We describe the safety and efficacy of robotic prolapse repair in a large teaching institution.
Methods: Consecutive robotic-assisted prolapse repairs at a single institution between 2006 and 2014 were retrospectively reviewed for patient characteristics, operative information, and outcomes.
Aims: To examine the relationship between coexisting depressive symptoms and outcomes after staged neuromodulation procedures for refractory urological symptoms.
Methods: Adults who enrolled in a prospective database and completed a Personal Health Questionnaire Depression Scale (PHQ-8) at baseline were reviewed. The PHQ-8 and Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) assessed depressive/anxiety symptoms pre and 6 months post device implant.
In this study, the efficacy of UV-C treatment was determined on the reduction of foodborne pathogens on artificially contaminated frozen food surfaces. At first, the UV-C inactivation rates on 100 μl of the respective cocktails of Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella , and Listeria monocytogenes covered underneath 0.5-cm-thick ice were examined.
