Methods: A total of 11 eyes with CNV secondary to AS were included in this retrospective study. Eptifibatide is a platelet glycoprotein (GP) IIb/IIIa inhibitor that is used in certain cases of acute coronary syndrome, including those with high thrombus burden or with no-reflow. It can rarely be associated with severe thrombocytopenia, which brings up a dilemma in managing those patients who require antiplatelet therapy. We discuss a patient who had ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and developed severe thrombocytopenia after eptifibatide infusion.

Impact of COVID-19 Self-Isolation on Medical Students' Education and Adherence to Protective Measures.

This study aims to evaluate the impact of self-isolation on the level of adherence to health protective measures among medical students in Jordan and on their clinical education. Because of being suspected of having or testing positive for COVID-19, 336 students were self-isolated . A questionnaire was sent to study the clinical adherence of students to COVID-19 protective measures after their self-isolation period, the student's satisfaction about the policy followed during the pandemic, the impact of these measures on their clinical training, and the level of vaccine acceptance among them.

Workplace Bullying and Its Associated Factors Among Medical Doctors in Residency Training in a Tertiary Health Institution in Plateau State Nigeria.

Background: Bullying is public health problem globally in workplaces with untold deleterious effects on the health and well-being of individuals at the receiving end. Bullying has been found to disrupt social interaction at workplace thereby creating an unhealthy and seemingly unproductive work environment. Studies have reported varying rates of workplace bullying as high as 83% in Europe, 65% in the Americas and 55% in Asia with very little documented in the contemporary African setting and Nigeria in particular.

Myocardial Infarction with Nonobstructive Coronary Arteries (MINOCA), as the name implies, is an acute myocardial infarction (MI) in the absence of significant coronary artery obstruction. Diagnosis and management of such cases have been challenging. There are many etiologies of MINOCA including coronary artery spasm, coronary microvascular dysfunction, plaque disruption, spontaneous coronary thrombosis or emboli, spontaneous coronary artery dissection, or cardiomyopathies.

General and sports nutrition knowledge among Jordanian adult coaches and athletes: A cross-sectional survey.

Background: Nutrition knowledge (NK) is a modifiable determinant of diet intake and can positively influence athletic performance. This study aimed to (1) adapt and translate a validated general and sports NK questionnaire into Arabic (2) assess the NK of Jordanian sportspeople, and (3) evaluate the relationship between NK and various sociodemographic factors.

Methods: The Abridged Nutrition for Sport Knowledge Questionnaire (ANSKQ) was translated into Arabic using forward-backward translation and underwent pilot testing and psychometric validation (internal consistency, test-retest reliability, inter-rater agreement) using a convenience sample of 30 individuals.

Purpose: To characterize preretinal neovascularizations (NV) and their corresponding branching routes in proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) with optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) and compare the findings with fluorescein angiography (FA).

Methods: In patients with PDR, angiograms were acquired with spectral-domain OCTA (CIRRUS 5000, OCTA AngioPlexTMCarl Zeiss Meditec, Inc.) and FA (Zeiss FF450PlusIR fundus camera or Spectralis HRA-OCT SLO, Heidelberg Engineering Inc.
