[SHORT-TERM SURGICAL AND FUNCTIONAL OUTCOMES AFTER ROBOT-ASSISTED SACROCOLPOPEXY IN A SINGLE INSTITUTION].

(Objectives) This study aimed to evaluate the surgical outcomes and functional parameters of lower urinary tract and bowel symptoms in patients who have undergone robot-assisted sacrocolpopexy (RASC) due to pelvic organ prolapse. (Patients and methods) This retrospective study included 110 consecutive RASC cases in the urology department of Ageo Central General Hospital, Japan, from November 2020 to October 2021. The medical records of these patients were retrieved.

Age and prostate volume are risk factors for transient urinary incontinence after transurethral enucleation with bipolar for benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Objectives: To investigate the predictive factors for transient urinary incontinence after transurethral enucleation with bipolar.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of 584 patients who underwent transurethral enucleation with bipolar between December 2011 and September 2016 operated by a single surgeon. Urinary incontinence after transurethral enucleation with bipolar was defined as involuntary leakage of urine that required the use of pads.

Transurethral Enucleation with Bipolar for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: 2-Year Outcomes and the Learning Curve of a Single Surgeon's Experience of 603 Consecutive Patients.

Background: To investigate perioperative outcomes, the learning curve, and 2-year follow-up after transurethral enucleation with bipolar (TUEB) for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Methods: From December 2011 to October 2016, 603 consecutive patients underwent TUEB for BPH, performed by a single surgeon. Patients were preoperatively assessed by using the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), quality-of-life score (QOLs), serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA), and uroflowmetry evaluation.

Anti-inflammatory effects of linagliptin in hemodialysis patients with diabetes.

Inflammation and glycemic control are important prognosis-related factors for hemodialysis (HD) patients; moreover, inflammation affects insulin secretion. Here, we evaluated the anti-inflammatory effects of monotherapy with linagliptin-a dipeptidase-4 inhibitor-in HD patients with type 2 diabetes. We examined 21 diabetic HD patients who were not receiving oral diabetes drugs or insulin therapy and with poor glycemic control (glycated albumin [GA] level, >20%).

Long-term effects of alogliptin benzoate in hemodialysis patients with diabetes: a 2-year study.

Aim: To evaluate the long-term efficacy of monotherapy with the dipeptidase-4 inhibitor alogliptin benzoate in hemodialysis (HD) patients with type 2 diabetes.

Methods: Sixteen diabetic HD patients with inadequate glycemic control (hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) level >6.5% and glycated albumin (GA) level >20%) on diet and exercise participated in the study.

[Clinical experience on 52 patients with interstitial cystitis].

A 76-year-old man received intravesical bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) instillations for recurrent superficial bladder cancer. He had undergone right nephroureterectomy for right renal pelvic cancer 9 months previously. He presented with anuria and left hydronephrosis after the fourth instillation, with serum creatinine increasing up to 15.
