N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is a RNA modification that can regulate post-transcriptional processes including RNA stability, translation, splicing, and nuclear export. In CD4+ lymphocytes, m6A modifications have been demonstrated to play a role in early differentiation processes. The role of m6A in CD4+ T cell activation and effector function remains incompletely understood.

The clinical utility of continuous echocardiographic monitoring during the procedure is still debated, with different reports supporting opposite findings. In cases where the procedure is expected to be difficult, we propose adding a continuous TEE monitoring using a static 3D/multiplane probe in mid-esophageal position, with digital remote manipulation of the field of view.

Twenty patients and five healthy persons were retrospectively identified who had undergone 2D-TTE, 2D-TOE and 3D-TOE. Fifteen (75 %) patients had surgical evidence of prolapse of the posterior MV leaflet and five patients (25 %) had a dilated MV annulus without prolapse.
