There are limited data on health service use and cost in low-income children with type 1 diabetes. This study examined the pattern of use and cost of health care services among low-income children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in the state of Alabama Medicaid program. The authors performed descriptive analysis and examined factors that influence cost and health service utilization.
