Background: Gender affirmation surgery is an exponentially growing field within plastic surgery. The aim of our study is to analyze demographics, procedure type, trends, and outcomes in the surgical management of gender identity disorder in the past few years.

Methods: The American College of Surgeons NSQIP database was queried for the years 2015 to 2019.

Robotic-assisted deep inferior epigastric artery perforator flap abdominal harvest for breast reconstruction: A case report.

The deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap is a mainstay of autologous breast reconstruction. The da Vinci robot has recently been adapted for an increasing number of reconstructive surgeries. The literature has yet to describe its use for the intra-abdominal harvest of the deep inferior epigastric vessels (DIEV) during DIEP flap breast reconstruction.

Annotation of the Daphnia magna nuclear receptors: comparison to Daphnia pulex.

Most nuclear receptors (NRs) are ligand-dependent transcription factors crucial in homeostatic physiological responses or environmental responses. We annotated the Daphnia magna NRs and compared them to Daphnia pulex and other species, primarily through phylogenetic analysis. Daphnia species contain 26 NRs spanning all seven gene subfamilies.
