This study examines the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of quaternary AlCoCrNi high-entropy alloys after heat treatment at 873 K for 72 and 192 h. The changes in nanostructure and phase transformation based on the heat treatment duration were as follows: B2 dendrite + BCC interdendrite and sigma phases after 72 h; B2 dendrite and interdendritic sigma phases + BCC after 192 h. After annealing, the morphology of the dendritic region shifted from spherical to needle-like, and the interdendritic region transformed from a spinodal-like to a plate-like morphology.

In this review, we systematically reviewed the recent advances in the development of ultrafine shape memory alloys with unique shape memory effects and superelastic behavior using amorphous metallic materials. Its scientific contribution involves defining and expanding the range of fabrication methods for single-phase ultrafine/nanocrystalline alloys with multicomponent systems. In multicomponent amorphous alloys, the crystallization mechanism depends on the alloy composition and is a selectable factor in the alloy designing method, considering the thermodynamic and physical parameters of constituent elements.

Al-based metallic glasses have a special atomic structure and should have a unique degradation ability in azo dye solutions. The AlNiY (Y3), AlNiY (Y6) and AlNiY (Y9) glassy ribbons are melt spun and used in degrading methyl orange (MO) azo dye solution with adding HO. With increasing , the as-spun ribbons have an increasing GFA (glass formability) and gradually decreased the degradation rate of MO solution.

The FeSi₉B-reinforced particles are uniformly dispersed in the aluminum alloy matrix. The XRD results indicated that the lattice parameter of α-Al increases and the preferred orientation factors of (200) plane of α-Al reduces after friction stir processing.
