Context: The Neurotracker CORE assessment is an 8-minute multiple object tracking (MOT) program used in sport science research and clinical rehabilitation as a perceptual-cognitive training tool; however, it has garnered interest for its potential use as an acute assessment of cognitive performance. Although some data exist regarding the learning effect of repeated exposures, it is often overlooked with investigators focusing primarily on the presence of transfer effects to other cognitive realms. As a result, exclusive data on the effect of repeated testing, or subsequent periods of no testing (ie, detraining) on test-retest reliability, and on MOT performance are sparse.

Prospective study of the effect of rituximab on kidney function in membranous nephropathy.

Background: Patients with membranous nephropathy (MN) and poor kidney function or active disease despite previous immunosuppression are underrepresented in clinical trials. It is unknown how effective rituximab is in this population.

Methods: This prospective, multi-centre, single-arm, real-world study of patients with active MN [urine protein-creatinine ratio (uPCR) >350 mg/mmol and serum albumin <30 g/L, or a fall in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of at least 20% or more over at least 3 months] evaluated rituximab in those with contraindications to calcineurin inhibitors and cytotoxic therapy.

Introduction: The prognostic value of PLA2R antibody (Ab) test in clinical practice remains unclear. We aimed to evaluate its ability in predicting hard outcomes in primary membranous nephropathy (PMN) after adjustments to conventional markers of disease activity.

Methods: A total of 222 patients diagnosed with PMN from January 2003 to July 2019 having had a serum PLA2R Ab test, were included from 3 centers in the north of England.

In this paper, a collaboration scheme between a high-altitude platform (HAP) and several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for wireless communication networks is investigated. The main objective of this study is to maximize the total downlink throughput of the ground users by optimizing the UAVs' three-dimensional (3D) placements and user associations. An optimization problem is formulated and a separate genetic-algorithm-based approach is proposed to solve the problem.

Olutasidenib (FT-2102) is a potent, selective, oral, small-molecule inhibitor of mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (mIDH1). Overall, 153 IDH1 inhibitor-naive patients with mIDH1R132 relapsed/refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) received olutasidenib monotherapy 150 mg twice daily in the pivotal cohort of this study. The median age of participants was 71 years (range, 32-87 years) and the median number of prior regimens received by patients was 2 (1-7).

RNA-controlled nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of mRNA decay factors regulates mRNA synthesis and a novel mRNA decay pathway.

mRNA level is controlled by factors that mediate both mRNA synthesis and decay, including the 5' to 3' exonuclease Xrn1. Here we show that nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of several yeast mRNA decay factors plays a key role in determining both mRNA synthesis and decay. Shuttling is regulated by RNA-controlled binding of the karyopherin Kap120 to two nuclear localization sequences (NLSs) in Xrn1, location of one of which is conserved from yeast to human.

Background: In minimally displaced Weber B ankle fractures, the distal fibular fracture fragment can be externally rotated. This malrotation is difficult to detect on radiographs and, when left malreduced through nonoperative treatment, may contribute to altered joint mechanics, predisposing to posttraumatic osteoarthritis. Optimising care for UK patients with acute myeloid leukaemia.

Acute myeloid leukaemia is a rare cancer, with about 3000 cases diagnosed each year in the UK. Diagnosis is based on patient history, blood and bone marrow tests and, in some cases, imaging. Chemotherapy is the mainstay of treatment for acute myeloid leukaemia, with eligible patients also undergoing allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, which can be curative.

We report a case of -mutated AML with t(6;9) in which induction chemotherapy with DA and midostaurin failed to achieve complete cytogenetic or molecular remission. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and co-existing cellulitis, monotherapy with the selective inhibitor gilteritinib was used as an alternative consolidation treatment option rather than further intensive chemotherapy. Gilteritinib was able to achieve complete molecular and cytogenetic remission despite the additional cytogenetic abnormality.
