De Quervain's disease (DQD) is tenosynovitis of the first dorsal compartment (DC1) of the wrist between the osteofibrous tunnel and the tendons involving the APL and EPB sheaths at the radial styloid. Surgical intervention is indicated when pain does not resolve despite 3 to 6 months of conservative management. Release of the first dorsal compartment is an effective treatment of DQD.

Ewing's sarcoma/primitive neuroectodermal tumours (PNET) of the thoracopulmonary region is called Askin's tumour. The common clinical presentations described for this extrapulmonary tumour are fever, chest wall mass with or without pain, dyspnea, and cough.

This study was conducted to evaluate the ameliorative effects of hinokitiol against acute pancreatitis induced by cerulein. Mice were pre-treated with hinokitiol intraperitoneally for 7 days (50 and 100 mg/kg), and on the final day of study, cerulein (6 × 50 μg/kg) was injected every hour for six times.

Institutional review board approval was obtained. Sonographers were familiarized with US LI-RADS via radiologist-led lectures.

Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (ALHE) is a difficult-to-treat and rare benign vascular proliferative condition which presents as painless, solitary, or multiple vascular papules or nodules in the head and neck area, with predilection for the ear. We report a case of ALHE that failed multiple therapeutic interventions but achieved complete resolution when treated with thalidomide.

The large volume of portal messages offers an invaluable opportunity for studying transportation barriers reported by patients. In this work, we explored the feasibility of cutting-edge deep learning techniques for identifying transportation issues mentioned in patient portal messages with deep semantic embeddings.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional study assessing eyecare utilization in the first 2 months after resumption of services post the lockdown in 2020 and comparing that across the same time period in 2019. Anonymized data containing basic demographic details, proportions of patient visits and their reasons, as well as referral information was collected.
Riassunto. Le malattie tropicali trascurate (NTD) sono una serie di malattie che prosperano nelle comunità povere di risorse, in particolare nei climi tropicali. I fattori sociali, ambientali ed economici contribuiscono alla loro persistenza.

Herein, we describe the clinical and neuroradiological profile of nine affected fetuses/neonates from five families identified with a common COASY: c.1486-3C>G biallelic variant.

Aims: This study aimed to determine the prevalence and phenotypic categorisation of infertile PCOS women and to assess ovulatory response and pregnancy rates of PCOS phenotypes with sequential letrozole dose escalation.
Study Setting And Design: This was a prospective observational study.
Inadequate sleep in adolescents has been linked to an increase in screen-based media use, especially at bedtime. Parents can play a critical role in regulating adolescent media use and promoting healthy sleep, yet few studies have evaluated parental effects on these outcomes. This study examined the effects of general and media-specific parenting behaviors and family conflict on adolescent sleep outcomes, both directly and indirectly through bedtime media use.

We sought to describe metabolic and volumetric PET prognostic factors at one month post-CAR-T and identify which patients with partial response (PR) or stable disease (SD) are most likely to subsequently achieve complete response (CR), and which will develop progressive disease (PD) and death.
Methods: Sixty-nine patients with NHL received axicabtagene ciloleucel CAR-T therapy.
Polatuzumab vedotin (PV) is an antibody-drug conjugate targeting CD79b that is approved for patients with relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL). Patients who relapse after chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy were not included in the registration study, and reports of PV use after CAR T cells are limited. This multicenter retrospective analysis included patients with LBCL who relapsed or progressed after CAR T-cell therapy and subsequently received PV with or without rituximab and bendamustine between July 2019 and May 2021.

Methods: A retrospective medical chart review of 97 patients with culture-proven Fusarium keratitis at a tertiary eye care institution from January 2018 to December 2019.
Results: The median (SD) age at enrollment was 44.
The therapeutic armamentarium has significantly expanded since the approval of various CD19-targeting chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapies in non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). These CAR-Ts are patient-specific and require a complex, resource, and time-consuming process. While this appears promising, autologous CAR-Ts are limited due to the lack of accessibility, manufacturing delays, and variable product quality.

Utilization patterns in patient messaging during the COVID-19 crisis have not been studied thoroughly. In this work, we propose characterizing patients and their use of asynchronous virtual care for COVID-19 via a retrospective analysis of patient portal messages.
