Congenital cheek salivary fistula is a rare developmental anomaly with an abnormal connection between the parotid gland and the skin. An eight-year-old child presented with an opening on the right cheek, with intermittent saliva leakage aggravated during food intake and recurrent infections. Imaging studies had confirmed the diagnosis.

It is linked to behavioral disinhibitions that are studied to be associated with mental and physical health adversities, including obesity and hypertension, due to potential common genetic and environmental underpinnings. These connections remain underexplored, particularly in the Indian context.

Methodology: 96 participants were categorized into three groups, Group 1: Systemically and Periodontally healthy individuals, Group 2: Systemically healthy patients with Generalized chronic periodontitis, Group 3: Generalized chronic periodontitis with type 2 diabetes Mellitus. Genomic DNA was extracted from the whole venous blood samples collected from the participants using The PureLink Genomic Kit.
Background: Dhanwantharaarishtam is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal tonic used to improve digestion, promote lactation, and balance the Vata dosha.
Aim: The study investigates the effects of Dhanwantharaarishtam, a traditional Ayurvedic tonic, on cell viability and cytotoxicity in human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) cultures.
Methods: The impact of Dhanwantharaarishtam on hiPSC cells was analyzed over a 24 hour period.
Background: Oral cancer is the sixth most common cancer occurring anywhere in the globe. Cancers of the mouth are caused by tobacco and alcohol overuse, and also between pre-malignancy and full-fledged malignancy. In order to avoid the onset of illness, proper cleanliness of the mouth is important.

Aim: The present study evaluates the antioxidant properties of the Ayurvedic medicine Dhanwanthararishtam, traditionally used for postnatal care to rejuvenate and strengthen the mother.
Methods: ABTS, DPPH, and FRAP, were the antibiotic assays carried out following standard protocols.
Mandarin oranges are susceptible to senescence and decay, primarily due to postharvest quality loss and fungal infections. This study aim to develop edible and active coatings using carnauba and shellac incorporated with carvacrol nanoemulsion (CNE), and to examine the synergistic effects of the coating on the quality parameters and shelf-life of the mandarin oranges during ambient storage. Nanoemulsion of carvacrol with average droplet size of 348.

Background: We aimed to describe the real-world effectiveness and safety of upadacitinib (UPA), an oral Janus kinase 1 inhibitor (JAKi) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD).
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted across nine centers in the United States, focusing on adults with CD treated with UPA 45 mg as induction therapy for active luminal disease. The co-primary endpoints were clinical remission at 12 weeks (Harvey Bradshaw Index ≤ 4 or absence of symptoms on physician's global assessment) and endoscopic remission at 6 months (SEMA-CD score of 0-1 or absence of ulcers).
Background: Ferritin is an iron storage protein essential for iron homeostasis regulation and an indicator of iron stores. It is an acute phase reactant and is elevated in inflammation and chronic infection. Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease with periodontopathogens possessing haemolytic activity which leads to increased local iron concentration and iron disorder.

Among the 82 pure cultured bacterial morphotypes, the strain TSP11 showed high auxin production utilizing rice husk as a cheap substitute in the production medium. The minimal medium supplemented with 0.

To address these challenges, this study presents a high-performance SERS platform based on in situ gold (Au) nanoparticle-engineered TiCT MXenes. This novel approach enhances signal amplification and ensures long-term stability for pollutant detection.

We conducted cross-sectional surveys in Fiji to assess increases and risk factors for (NG) and (CT) infections pre- and postpandemic.
Methods: We enrolled women, men who have sex only with women (MSW), and men who have sex with men (MSM) aged 18-40 years, collected sociodemographic/behavioral data, and tested vaginal, urethral, and rectal samples using Xpert-CT/NG.
Domain membrane protein (DMP) gene is one of the key genes regulating in vivo haploid production in maize. Here, full-length sequence (931 bp) of DMP gene was sequenced in five mutant and five wild-type maize inbreds to study allelic variation. Two SNPs viz.

The production of piRNA bioactive forms uses precursor mRNAs, which team with Piwi proteins to support genome maintenance. Accurate leukaemia regulation requires piRNAs because abnormalities in these regulatory elements contribute to disease development and drug resistance progression.

This study aims to examine the relationship between ACE exposure and the risk of overweight/obesity and hypertension among young adults in Delhi-NCR, India.
Methods: The present cross-sectional study involved 1702 young adults of both sexes.
Aim: This pilot study examined the feasibility of tele-assessment of working memory (WM) compared to conventional face-to-face assessment.
Methods: In total, 15 young adults aged between 18 and 30 years who were native speakers of Kannada with normal hearing completed three WM tests in Indian English: forward digit span, backward digit span, and n-back task through tele-assessment and in-person/face-to-face assessment. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) task load index, which assesses subjective workload, was used to determine the difficulties across the two modes of assessment.
Introduction: Skin aging is a complex biological process driven by intrinsic factors, such as genetics and cellular metabolism, and extrinsic factors, including environmental stressors like UV radiation, pollution, and lifestyle choices. These factors result in visible signs of aging, such as wrinkles, reduced skin elasticity, and pigmentation.
Objective: This review presents the recent findings on phytoextracts as natural anti-aging agents, highlighting their bioactive compounds, mechanisms of action, and applications in skin rejuvenation.
Objective: This review focuses on the clinical and preclinical studies pertaining to the use of phytochemicals in the prevention of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) metastasis.
Methods: A thorough overview of the relevant literature was provided by the narrative review approach. The PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus databases were used to retrieve publications on the phytochemicals preventing oral cancer metastasis.
The WHO has given a permissive recommendation for an off-label one-dose human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine schedule to prevent cervical cancer, based on evidence of comparable protection to two or three doses of vaccine. While neutralizing antibodies are thought to be the primary mechanism of protection, the persistence of immunity and whether other antibody-mediated mechanisms of protection are involved is unclear. Using systems serology, we investigated HPV antibody responses in serum from Fijian girls who were unvaccinated or received one, two or three doses of quadrivalent HPV vaccine six years earlier.

Hypoxia-associated molecular signatures have received attention due to a growing demand for non-invasive prognostic biomarkers, and miR-210 has been repoured as the only viable candidate. Tumor hypoxia is a characteristic of highly malignant lung cancer, and hypoxia-inducible factors increase miR-210 in this process as a way of allowing cancer cells to inhabit low oxygen conditions and grow further in lung cancer.
