[Effects of gamma-irradiation on broiler-6 and Leghorn chicken].

The influence of various doses of external radiation to survive, growth and productivity of hybrid broiler and egg-laying leghorn chicken was studied in comparative aspect. It was found that broiler radio-resistanse is 1.5 times higher than that of leghorns: LD50/30 of 10-days broilers is equal to 16.

[Effects of gamma-irradiation on survival, growth and productivity of broiler chicken].

In experiments with broiler chicken the influence of gamma-irradiation (137Cs) to survive and productivity of meat poultry was studied. LD50/30 increased from 10.0 to 18.

[Regularities in forming chromosome aberrations in cattle lymphocytes in external and combined radiation exposure].

Aberrations in lymphocytes of cattle blood exposed to gamma-radiation and combined radiation were found. It was shown that seven days after the exposure to doses from 64.5 to 103.

[Regularities in forming chromosome aberrations in cattle lymphocytes from irradiation in vitro].

Aberrations in lymphocytes of cattle blood exposed to gamma-radiation with doses from 1 to 7 Gy were studied. The rate of variable cells depended linearly on the irradiation dose, whereas the total frequency of aberrations, as well as that of dicentric and annular chromosomes followed a linear-quadratic dependence.

[Pancreatic glycosaminoglycans in acute pancreatitis].

Content of glycosaminoglycans was increased in pancreas of rats with acute pancreatitis. With development of the disease not only content of glycosaminoglycans but heterogeneity of their molecules were increased. This suggests that carbohydrate chains of glycosaminoglycans were degraded; the rate of degradation correlated with severity of pancreatitis.
