Background: Few literature reviews have been published focusing on navigation, robotic or pre-operative planning using 3D-imaging technology (3D-printing, 3D-planning). Objectives: Despite vaccination strategies, people with chronic kidney disease, particularly kidney transplant recipients (KTRs), remained at high risk of poor COVID-19 outcomes. We assessed serological responses to the three-dose COVID-19 vaccine schedule in KTRs and people on dialysis, as well as seroresponse predictors and the relationship between responses and breakthrough infection.

Background: Human T cell lymphotropic virus type 1 (HTLV-1) infection remains a largely neglected public health problem, particularly in resource-poor areas with high burden of communicable and non-communicable diseases, such as some remote populations in Central Australia where an estimated 37% of adults are infected with HTLV-1. Most of our understanding of HTLV-1 infection comes from studies of the globally spread subtype-A (HTLV-1a), with few molecular studies reported with the Austral-Melanesian subtype-C (HTLV-1c) predominant in the Indo-Pacific and Oceania regions.

Results: Using a primer walking strategy and direct sequencing, we constructed HTLV-1c genomic consensus sequences from 22 First Nations participants living with HTLV-1c in Central Australia.

Paradoxical low flow-low gradient aortic valve stenosis (AVS) is an increasing phenotype in the general population, particularly after the seventh decade of life. It is an AVS in which, despite the preserved ejection fraction, the mean transvalvular gradient is not suggestive of severe AVS (<40 mmHg). The pathophysiology is often intertwined with conditions resulting in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, such as arterial hypertension and cardiac amyloidosis.
