Adoptive T-cell immunotherapy holds great promise for the treatment of viral complications in immunocompromised patients resistant to standard anti-viral strategies. We present a retrospective analysis of 78 patients from 19 hospitals across Australia and New Zealand, treated over the last 15 years with "off-the-shelf" allogeneic T cells directed to a combination of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), BK polyomavirus (BKV), John Cunningham virus (JCV) and/or adenovirus (AdV) under the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration's Special Access Scheme. Most patients had severe post-transplant viral complications, including drug-resistant end-organ CMV disease, BKV-associated haemorrhagic cystitis and EBV-driven post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder.

Error-based active learning, an innovative approach in dental education, is a combination of mistake-driven learning (MDL) and case-based learning (CBL) to provide a transformative learning atmosphere for students. While active learning has gained popularity in dental education, the effectiveness of error-based active learning remains unexplored.

Early detection through screening and Mouth Self-examination (MSE) can significantly improve outcomes, but limited awareness and pain in advanced stages lead to delayed detection. This study aimed to assess the knowledge and practice of MSE among tobacco users in urban and rural populations.

In this study, GeTe/MoTe HS are explored for nonvolatile memory and neuromorphic-computing applications. Sputter-deposited Ag/GeTe/MoTe/Pt HS cross-point devices are fabricated, and they demonstrate memristor behavior at ultralow switching voltages (V: 0.

Research or scientific misconduct stands like child abuse today. The survey of National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded scientists calculated an absolute minimum of 2325 incidents of scientific misconduct per year.

The induction of proteotoxic stress by targeting protein degradation with proteasome inhibitors (PIs) has revolutionized the treatment of MM. However, resistance to PIs is inevitable and represents an ongoing clinical challenge.

Materials And Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study consisting of a structured questionnaire tool with six domains and 46 questions was circulated amongst registered OMFSs in India.
Background: Physiotherapists in India are at a high risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorder (WRMSD). Faulty ergonomics and incorrect patient handling techniques are the common causes of WRMSDs. The disabilities caused due to musculoskeletal injuries are the frequent cause of absenteeism from work.

This study evaluated HCP perceptions of enablers and barriers to two behaviours: referral for, and delivery of, multidisciplinary prehabilitation prior to autologous stem cell transplant.
Methods: Based on the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF) of behaviour change, we conducted semi-structured interviews, purposively sampling 14 participants (from various healthcare disciplines) at a tertiary cancer centre.
Purpose: We compared the outcomes of arthrodesis of the first metatarsophalangeal joint for severe hallux valgus in 31 adolescents with cerebral palsy, using three different methods of fixation: K-wires, non-locking plates, and locking plates.
Methods: Clinical outcomes included time to weight-bearing, fusion rates and surgical complications. Radiographic assessment included comparing pre- and post-operative hallux valgus angles, intermetatarsal angles, interphalangeal angles, and lateral metatarsophalangeal angles.
CD19-directed chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR-T) achieve high response rates in patients with relapsed/refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). However, their use is associated with significant toxicity, relapse concern, and unclear broad tractability. Preclinical and clinical data support a beneficial synergistic effect of ibrutinib on apheresis product fitness, CAR-T expansion, and toxicity.

There were high rates of seropositivity (67%-86%) to measles, mumps, and rubella and varicella zoster virus. Durability of protection requires assessment.

Coarse-grained molecular dynamics (CGMD) simulations address lengthscales and timescales that are critical to many chemical and material applications. Nevertheless, contemporary CGMD modeling is relatively bespoke and there are no black-box CGMD methodologies available that could play a comparable role in discovery applications that density functional theory plays for electronic structure. This gap might be filled by machine learning (ML)-based CGMD potentials that simplify model development, but these methods are still in their early stages and have yet to demonstrate a significant advantage over existing physics-based CGMD methods.
