Purpose: Report of anatomic and functional results of retinal detachment with giant retinal tear.

Patients And Methods: Retrospective study of 23 cases of retinal detachment resulting from retinal tear of 90 degrees or more: five had a history of ocular trauma, 14 had myopia, and six had no risk for giant retinal tear. Episcleral surgery was performed on cases of giant retinal tear less than 180 degrees , with no advanced proliferative vitreoretinopathy and no inversion of the retinal flap.

Aim: A restrospective study was carried in order to evaluate the efficacy and safety of retrobulbar anaesthesia during keratoplasty.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of subconjunctival injections of clindamycin associated with oral corticotherapy in the treatment of toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis (TRC) and its effect on recurrence.

Patients And Methods: This study investigated 21 patients (10 males and 11 females) who presented to an ophthalmological department from 1995 to 2000, aged 14-55 years (mean, 28 years), with unilateral TRC. They were treated with subconjunctival injections of clindamycin and systemic corticotherapy at a dose of 1 mg/kg/day.
