[New aspects of adoptive immunochemotherapy in disseminated forms of cancer].

A method of autolymphochemotherapy was developed based on administration of a "therapeutic" course of chemotherapy following cytotoxic treatment of a large amount (1.5-2 l) of central lymph obtained by external drainage of the thoracic duct. Immediate results of treatment of 15 patients with advanced breast, lung (non-small-cell) and ovarian cancer with various degree of chemoresistance are presented.

VAB-6 and cisplatin-cyclophosphamide combinations in the treatment of metastatic seminoma patients: the U.S.S.R. experience.

In a non-randomized study the treatment results of 59 patients with disseminated seminoma were evaluated: 21 patients were treated with a VAB-6 combination and 38 with a CP (cyclophosphamide and cisplatin) combination. After VAB-6 CR was observed in 8 patients and 6 achieved CR with additional treatment: 1 with chemotherapy (PVB) and 5 with radiotherapy (RT). The final CR rate was 67%.

[Use of 5-fluorouracil, bleomycetin and platidiam in combined treatment of localized cancer of the larynx].

Preliminary results of chemoradiotherapy in 30 patients with the larynx cancer T3T4N0M0 are presented. Two treatment schemes were applied. According to scheme I, the treatment was started with chemotherapy with 5-fluorouracil in doses of 1000 mg on days 1, 2 and 3, bleomycetin in doses of 15 mg on days 1, 2 and 3 and platidiam in doses of 120 mg/m2 on day 4 followed by radiotherapy to the total dose of 66 to 70 Gy.

[The results of the use of bleomycin and its analogs in the VAB-6 protocol in treating testicular tumors].

Efficacy and toxicity of VAB-6 combinations with bleomycin, bleomycetin or peplomycin were studied in treatment of 77 patients with metastases of germ-cell tumors: testicle tumors in 71 patients and extragonadal tumors in 6 patients. After the chemotherapy complete regression was observed in 37 patients (48.7 per cent).

Efficacy of combination chemotherapy including Platidiam in the treatment of malignant testicular tumors.

Thirty-seven patients were treated for advanced malignant testicular tumors with combined chemotherapy including cis-platinum (Platidiam). A complete regression was achieved in 23 patients (62%). No severe side effects were observed.

[Management and drug therapy of patients with disseminated testicular tumors].

The experience gained in the treatment of 111 cases of testicular tumor is summarized in the paper. Methods of management of testicular cancer in the eighties differ significantly from those employed in the seventies. A set of drugs used is different.

[Combination of platidiam and bleomycetin in disseminated skin melanoma].

Clinical trials of bleomycetin and platidiam combination were carried out in 13 patients with disseminated melanoma of the skin. Two regimens of the treatment were used. Regimen I included intravenous administration of platidiam in a dose of 20 mg/m2 with a water load on days 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the treatment course and intravenous administration of bleomycetin in a dose of 30 mg/m2 on days 1 and 7.

[Combined chemotherapy of advanced soft tissue sarcomas using the platinum derivative cisplatin (platidiam)].

The results of treatment of 69 cases of advanced soft tissue sarcomas are presented. Patients were given various drug schemes including cisplatin. Overall response in the study group was 30%.

[Trial of the use of bleomycin in combination with other chemopreparations for treating the metastases of squamous cell cancer in various sites].

The data on the treatment of 19 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of different sites are presented. A combination of chemotherapeutics, including methotrexate, adriamycin and bleomycin was used. The combination was effective and low toxic.
