Objective: The maternal mortality ratio (MMR) in Myanmar was the highest in Southeast Asia in 2017. The Three Delay Model is used to evaluate delays that contribute to maternal deaths. This study aims to identify MMR, causes of death, the three delays related to maternal deaths, and the factors associated with Delay 1, which is the time of delay in deciding to seek health care (from the start of the woman's illness to the time when the problem is recognized to be requiring care), in Myanmar.

Rapid diagnostic testing (RDT) combined with an antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) has shown improved outcomes in bloodstream infections (BSIs). We assessed the impact of RDT, surveillance software, and ASP pharmacist staffing on time to optimal therapy (TOT) in Gram-negative BSIs. Adults with Gram-negative BSIs were included in this retrospective evaluation across 2 study periods.

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the incidence of skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs) across healthcare settings and analyze direct healthcare expenditures related to SSTIs in 2000 and 2012 in the United States.

Methods: We performed a retrospective, cross-sectional analysis of nationally representative data from the Medical Expenditure Panel Surveys. Population-based incidence rates were examined for all healthcare settings that include inpatient visits, emergency department visits and ambulatory visits for SSTIs.
