Introdution: Although oral and dental diseases may occur in unexpected or even emergency conditions, but some of the diagnosis and treatments can be algorithmically done following some guidelines. The development and implementation of a system that provides users with a record of history and a proposal of required actions can be not only efficiently practical, but also virtually simple.
Materials And Method: A system made up of web and mobile apps is proposed and evaluated for screening and self-care of oral and dental problems and for providing advice on dental emergencies and therapeutic measures.
Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers with an increasing trend in both incidence and mortality rates in Iran. Survival analysis is a pivotal measure in setting appropriate care plans. To the best of our knowledge, this study is pioneering in Iran, introducing a multi-method approach using a Deep Neural Network (DNN) and 11 conventional machine learning (ML) methods to predict the 5 year survival of women with breast cancer.

Most previous studies have evaluated the epidemiology of malignant gliomas in developed countries. Hence, there is a lack of evidence in this regard from developing countries.

This study aimed to investigate the performance of the Bayesian Approach (BA) in the imputation of censored records in simulated and Breast Cancer (BC) data. Due to the difference in the distribution of time to event in survival analysis, two well-known the Weibull and Birnbaum-Saunders (BS) distributions have been used to test the performance of the BA.

The CC incidence is low in Iran, ranking 11th among cancers. This study aimed to estimate the survival rate of CC and the reasons for its low survival rate based on the data retrieved from the Iranian National Cancer Registry System.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study was performed in 2019 on breast cancer patients registered in the national cancer registry system of Iran during 2007-2014. The patients were contacted to collect their information and status (alive or dead).
Background: To investigate the association between the Homeostasis Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) and Homeostasis Model Assessment of Beta-cell function (HOMA-B) with the incidence of diabetes and pre-diabetes subtypes.
Methods: A total of 3101 normoglycemic people aged 20-70 years were included in the 6-year follow-up study. Multinomial logistic regression was used to calculate the incidence possibility of isolated Impaired Fasting Glucose (iIFG), isolated Impaired Glucose Tolerance (iIGT), Combined impaired fasting glucose & impaired glucose tolerance (CGI), and Diabetes Mellitus (DM) per standard deviation (SD) increment in HOMA-IR and HOMA-B in the crude and multivariable model.
Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) accounts for about 10% to 20% of breast cancers, does not respond to endocrine treatment, and is more aggressive. Two chemotherapy methods suggested include neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC), performed before surgery, and adjuvant chemotherapy (AC), performed after surgery. In order to determine whether the choice of chemotherapy method has any impact on patients' outcome, the present study aimed to compare the overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) of TNBC patients with a 10-year follow-up.

Despite the suspension of routine dental care in many countries around the world, dental professionals perceive a moral duty to take part in the global fight against the pandemic. Therefore, dental professionals should be vigilant in defending against the transmission of the virus and as well as in the diagnosis of the disease through the oral manifestations of it.

Methods: Information on 3,337 registered cases of bladder cancer was obtained from the Office of National Cancer Registry in the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOH & ME).
Objectives: Parafunctional habits, as one of the etiological factors of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), are an individual's response to increased stress. During stress and depression, biomarkers such as cortisol and salivary alpha-amylase (SAA) are secreted in the saliva. The present study aimed to investigate whether there is a correlation between salivary stress biomarkers and parafunctional habits.

The present study aimed to estimate the survival rate of breast cancer and its related factors among Iranian patients.
Methods: Overall, 3148 cases of breast cancer who referred to the Cancer Research Center in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran during 1994-2017 participated in this longitudinal study.
Lichen planus (LP) is a violent, paranormal inflammatory disease that can affect the skin or any lining of the mucous membrane. LPs are a branch of immune-mediated inflammatory disease (IMID) that collaborates with the function and structure of the immune system that are precipitated through various etiological infectious agents. Oral lichen planus (OLP) is one of the most common kinds of IMID.

Benign migratory glossitis or geographic tongue, whose cause still remains a mystery, emerges as annular lesions on the dorsal surface of the tongue. Several reasons have been reported for this condition, including vitamin deficiencies, digestive disorders, emotional stress and nutritional deficiencies. In order to introduce an efficient treatment for the geographic tongue, the present study investigated the levels of iron, zinc and vitamin B in the blood and saliva.
