In this paper, we propose a Proof-of-Location (PoL)-based location verification scheme for mitigating Sybil attacks in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). For this purpose, we employ smart contracts for storing the location information of the vehicles. This smart contract is maintained by Road Side Units (RSUs) and acts as a ground truth for verifying the position information of the neighboring vehicles.

It involves extensive resection, and the patient featured in this report expressed mechanical pain from their sacroiliac joint (SIJ) as well as phantom limb pain (PLP). Spinal cord stimulation is known to assist with neuropathic pain syndromes, and SIJ fusion is effective in these cases of multifactorial pain.

Methods: The effects on cell survival, colony formation, cellular and nuclear morphology, generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), change in the integrity of mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP), and apoptosis were investigated. Additionally, docking studies were conducted to analyze and elucidate the interactions between the derivatives and AKT and BRAF proteins.
Habitual betel quid consumption and spitting contribute to tuberculosis (TB) transmission due to direct exposure to pathogens, immunosuppression, and social contact. Despite betel quid being classified as a group 1 human carcinogen and a high prevalence of betel quid consumption in patients with TB, there exists a knowledge gap in the relationship between quid use and TB, which presents as a neglected opportunity to address the global burden of TB in low- and middle-income countries. Understanding such a knowledge gap is crucial when taking measures at various levels, including research prioritization, behavior change communication, and legislation to address the availability and access of quid products, coupled with community-based interventional strategies.

In particular, FeP nanostructures exhibit superior electrical conductivity and high stability. Moreover, their diverse composition and unique crystal structures position FeP nanomaterials as emerging candidates for HER electrocatalysts.

This paper reviews the contributions of key antioxidants, including Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, green tea extract, Coenzyme Q10, Resveratrol, Selenium, and Polyphenols, in skin health care. Vitamin C, known for its collagen synthesis promotion and photoprotection properties, alongside Vitamin E, a lipid-soluble antioxidant, syn-ergistically works to neutralize free radicals and repair damaged skin cells.

Reproductive success relies on proper establishment and maintenance of biological sex. In many animals, including mammals, the primary gonad is initially ovary biased. We previously showed the RNA binding protein (RNAbp), Rbpms2, is required for ovary fate in zebrafish.

Global demand for edible oils is expanding, necessitating the discovery of new natural oil sources subjected to adequate quality and safety evaluation. However, in contrast to other agricultural products, India's edible oil supply is surprisingly dependent on imports.

Salt stress is a limiting environmental factor that inhibits plant growth in most ecological environments. The functioning of G-proteins and activated downstream signaling during salt stress is well established and different G-protein subunits and a few downstream effectors have been identified. Arabidopsis G-protein -subunit (AGB1) regulates the movement of Na from roots to shoots along with a significant role in controlling Na fluxes in roots, however, the molecular mechanism of AGB1 mediated salt stress regulation is not well understood.

Advances in multimaterial 3D printing are enabling the construction of advantageous engineering structures that benefit from material synergies. Cellular structures, such as honeycombs, provide high-energy absorption to weight ratios that could benefit from multimaterial strategies to improve the safety and performance of engineered systems. In this study, we investigate the energy absorption for honeycombs with square and hexagonal unit cells constructed from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).

Collections of such motors, acting in consort, can self-assemble to form swarms or clusters, providing opportunities for applications on various length scales. While such collective behavior has been studied when the motors move in a chemically inactive fluid environment, when the medium in which they move is a chemical network that supports complex spatial and temporal patterns, through simulation and theoretical analysis we show that collective behavior changes.

This study aimed to find out the prevalence of human papillomavirus among women undergoing Papanicolaou smear tests in a tertiary care centre.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among women undergoing the Papanicolaou smear test in the Department of Gynaecologic Oncology, Nepal Armed Police Force Hospital, between 1 June 2022 and 15 November 2022.
Huntington's disease (HD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder caused by CAG trinucleotide repeat expansions in exon 1 of the HTT gene. In addition to germline CAG expansions, somatic repeat expansions in neurons also contribute to HD pathogenesis. The DNA mismatch repair gene, MSH3, identified as a genetic modifier of HD onset and progression, promotes somatic CAG expansions, and thus presents a potential therapeutic target.

Probiotics are known to assist in the healing of wounds through immunomodulation and also possess anti-pathogen properties via competitive inhibition. The probiotic bacterium, MTCC 2621 and its cell-free supernatant (Lp2621) have previously been reported to have antibacterial, excellent antioxidant, and wound healing activity in conditions and wounds contaminated with in mice.
