Unlabelled: The aims of dental professional courses are to prepare dental healthcare providers to manage common dental diseases, perform surgeries, and offer prevention. They should also be equipped to understand the needs of the society they are serving and willing to amend their skills. As they are expected to be a part of a team providing health care, they should have the requisite leadership and managerial skills for leading the team to serve its objectives in the best possible way.

Contextual barriers in effective interpersonal communication with patients: A qualitative analysis.

Purpose: Competence building in interpersonal communication (IPC) between undergraduate students and patients requires deep understanding of the factors influencing their interaction. These factors, contextual to our clinical setup were explored from multisource perspectives to understand the perceived barriers in IPC.

Method: Qualitative hermeneutic phenomenological analysis was done for patient's semi-structured interviews (n = 16); interns (n = 15) and faculty (n = 14) unstructured focus group discussions.

We hypothesized that the associations of empathic prosocial concern and fear of disease with support towards preventive COVID-19 behaviours would be moderated by trust in the government.

Effect of planning interventions on parent supervised oral health behaviors in primary school-age children: a randomized controlled trial.

Objective: To compare the effect of planning interventions on self-reported changes in parents supervised oral health-related behaviors (OHRBs) and associated clinical oral health parameters for primary school-age children.

Method And Materials: In total, 110 parent-child pairs (children aged 3 to 8 years) were randomly assigned to either of the two groups. In the "action planning" group, parent participants of the pair were asked to make an "action plan" using the "how, when, where" format for their child OHRBs.

Comparative assessment of cleaning efficacy of two exclusive paediatric rotary files in root canals of primary teeth: An in vitro study.

Background: Paediatric rotary file systems have recently been developed for primary teeth use.

Aim: To study the cleaning efficacies of two paediatric rotary endodontic files, the Prime Pedo, and the Kedo-SG Blue against the standard H files.

Design: This in vitro study included 54 freshly extracted primary molars, which were randomised into three groups (n = 18 each) and were prepared using either Kedo-SG Blue, Prime Pedo or hand H files after injecting methylene blue dye into the canals.

The Coronavirus Anxiety Scale: Cross-national measurement invariance and convergent validity evidence.

Coronavirus Anxiety Scale (CAS) is a widely used measure that captures somatic symptoms of coronavirus-related anxiety. In a large-scale collaboration spanning 60 countries ( = 21,513), we examined the CAS's measurement invariance and assessed the convergent validity of CAS scores in relation to the fear of COVID-19 (FCV-19S) and the satisfaction with life (SWLS-3) scales. We utilized both conventional exact invariance tests and alignment procedures, with results revealing that the single-factor model fit the data well in almost all countries.

Comparative evaluation of intranasal midazolam-ketamine, dexmedetomidine-ketamine, midazolam-fentanyl, and dexmedetomidine-fentanyl combinations for procedural sedation and analgesia in pediatric dental patients: a randomized controlled trial.

Background: In order to assess the effectiveness of various analgesio-sedative combinations for pain relief and sedation in pediatric dental patients, a thorough evaluation of clinical studies and patient outcomes is necessary.

Methods: A total of 128 healthy, uncooperative pediatric dental patients were randomly allocated to receive one of the four combinations of drugs via the intranasal (IN) route: Group I received midazolam-ketamine (MK), Group II received dexmedetomidine-ketamine (DK), Group III received midazolam-fentanyl (MF), and Group IV received dexmedetomidine-fentanyl (DF) in a parallel-arm study design. The efficacy and safety of the combinations were evaluated using different parameters.

A reference human induced pluripotent stem cell line for large-scale collaborative studies.

Human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines are a powerful tool for studying development and disease, but the considerable phenotypic variation between lines makes it challenging to replicate key findings and integrate data across research groups. Purpose: The aim of this article was to systematically review the available literature on patient specific total temporomandibular joint total joint replacement (PS-TMJR) implants for their biomaterial, designs, fabrication techniques and their outcomes.

Methods: A literature review was conducted using PubMed, and science direct databases using the key words three-dimensional printing, 3D printing, CAD CAM, computer aided designing, computer aided manufacturing, additive technology, custom made implants, patient specific implants in combination with Temporomandibular joint, TMJ surgery.

Results: The search revealed 2760 articles, of which 374 were in English and discussed TMJ reconstruction.
