[A mobile express laboratory for the diagnosis of venereal diseases].

An original design of a laboratory disposed in a motor vehicle is described. The laboratory is equipped with everything necessary for a purposeful screening of large numbers of people and is thus contributing to sexually transmitted diseases control. The advantages of this laboratory are mobility and rapid diagnosis.

[Chancriform pyoderma].

A patient with chancriform pyoderma is described. He has been repeatedly examined with the use of routine serologic tests, Treponema pallidum immobilization and immunofluorescence tests and other laboratory analyses; this has permitted a correct clinical diagnosis. A 6-month follow-up, including clinical examinations and laboratory analyses, has confirmed the diagnosis.

[2 cases of error in the diagnosis of syphilis].

Two patients with syphilis are described. Unrecognized disease in one of them has become the reason of the other's infection. Only after a comprehensive examination the disease has been diagnosed and the treatment started.

[Cancer of the glans penis].

Carcinoma of the glans penis has been diagnosed in a patient aged 84 with a history of treatment for syphilis. The condition has been diagnosed on the basis of histologic studies.
