Purpose: Atrial fibrillation (AF) being a prevalent cardiovascular condition globally, has an increased risk of stroke and other complications. The effective management of AF often involves the use of oral anticoagulants (OACs) to prevent thromboembolic events. This study aimed to evaluate anticoagulation knowledge and medication adherence in AF patients on OACs at a tertiary care center in Nepal.

Due to the limited success of amyloid-targeted therapies, attention has shifted to new non-amyloid targets like phosphodiesterases (PDE). This study investigates the potential of Flemingia vestita (FV) phytomolecules and derivatives, particularly 8-Prenyldaidzein, in AD treatment.

The center design was based on an investigational drug services model and a Food and Drug Administration-compliant database to manage blood product inventory and trial safety.
Methods: A core investigational team adapted a cloud-based platform to randomize patient assignments and track inventory distribution of control plasma and high-titer COVID-19 convalescent plasma of different blood groups from 29 donor collection centers directly to blood banks serving 26 transfusion sites.

Inappropriate sexual practice like oral sex has been linked with head and neck cancer (HNC). The recent data revealed that about 20% oropharyngeal caner among Indians are associated with oral sex. Thus, we aimed to comprehensively assess the trend of research in oral sex associated with HNC and to predict the research frontiers and potential hotspots in the near future.

This study aims to investigate the associations between various parental psychiatric disorders and anxiety disorders in their offspring.
Method: Using Finnish register data, this nested case-control study analyzed 867,175 singleton live births from 1992 to 2006, identifying 21,671 cases of anxiety disorders diagnosed between 1998 and 2016.
Vasoconstriction of peripheral blood vessels is one of the hallmark symptoms of fescue toxicosis in cattle. Thus, it was hypothesized that exposure to ergot alkaloids would increase the pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP). The objectives of this study were to examine the relationship between PAP and different physiological parameters of cows grazing either endophyte-infected (EI) or novel-endophyte (EN) fescue, then evaluate changes in PAP and other physiological measurements in cows exposed to EI pastures and deemed as susceptible or tolerant based on animal performance.

Successful applications of such spintronic devices necessitate understanding not only their ideal working principles but also their breakdown mechanisms. Employing an in situ electrical biasing system, atomic-resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) reveals two distinct breakdown mechanisms.

Therefore, this study aimed to delve into the Globoid cell leukodystrophy associated intricate network of differentially expressed genes (p < 0.05, |Fc|> 1) to identify potential druggable targets and possible therapeutic interventions using small molecules.

A new paradigm, called "computational random-access memory (CRAM)," has emerged to address this fundamental limitation. CRAM performs logic operations directly using the memory cells themselves, without having the data ever leave the memory.

Even though some studies propose that cannabidiol may manipulate glutamatergic signals, there is insufficient evidence to support cannabidiol direct effect on glutamate signaling, which is important in intervening epilepsy. Therefore, the present study aimed to analyze the epilepsy-related targets for cannabidiol, assess the differentially expressed genes with its treatment, and identify the possible glutamatergic signaling target.

Type B lactic acidosis occurs without tissue dysoxia due to increased aerobic glycolysis and excess lactic acid formation, commonly known as the Warburg effect. Here, we present a case of Burkitt lymphoma in a 69-year-old female with severe type B lactic acidosis and hypoglycemia that was effectively treated by the prompt initiation of chemotherapy.
